hey Ben, awesome vid! I live up in Ga and fish mainly Lanier and freshwater. Still, I love love love Snook fishing from the beach. Started it yrs ago in sanibel! I’m 90% artificial but do enjoy live bait from beach later in the morning when artificial dies off. It is best way and guaranteed way to catch in pods for sure!! Heading down to anna maria in early June, so anxious to fish there since I never have. I plan to do some big swimbait nite fishing too. Loved your vid!
  • On the handline is pretty sweet! I wouldve been worried when it got wrapped around my finger. Great video

Awesome video. This is literally my favorite thing to do here. Love using whiting on the beach, even when they are dead they will still get bit. I use a 4/0 owner Aki J/bait hook for whiting that big and usually don’t have any issues hooking up. What are you using to get the whiting? I get them in a cast net but on a super clear sunny day they can be tough to net.

Question: I am a bass fisherman in vacation in longboat key, I never do saltwater fishing and I've been interested in catching a big snook. The rig I have set up is a 20 pound leader on a size three circle hook with a large egg sinker above the swivel. I've been catching pin fish with a different rig on a smaller rod, and I also have cut squid, I was wondering if I should use live pin fish, cut pinfish, or squid? Is that rig good? It's all I have and I don't want to buy anything else and if it works it works. Thanks for the video!

A surgeon knot (4 passes) is quick and strong for joining lines. Trout fishermen use them to join lines, and Dr’s use them for stitches.

  • Hey Ben, I’m a frequent Anna Maria Island . Going through the questions I see multiple people have asked where is this location. Yet, I see no responses to that particular question asked by your subscribers.
