how did it end being this album’s track 5 makes so much sense. it’s already so hard going through a break up, and a whole other layer to that is the embarrassment that comes with people finding out and feeling like they’ll see you as a failure, and what they’ll say about you to others, especially after you were so head over heels. also taylor really said “hey kids spelling is fun!” with the d-y-i-n-g

For me, volume one is raw, chaotic, and dappled with the first signs of self-awareness in the middle of the storm, when the wounds and experiences are still fresh. Volume two is pensive and self-reflective; conducting the autopsy after the dust has settled, coming to terms with the events, healing and moving on. The differences in the production of each part reflect this contrast. Absolutely love this project.
