Finally took you to the wonderfully lazy Marks and Spencer's food hall. Is it the British version of Erewhon?

American here. We often shop at M & S when in London because we stay for 1-2 weeks at a time and save money by eating from grocery stores or small shops versus restaurants, plus it’s healthier. We enjoy the cultural experience of shopping there too. Food is 10-30% higher here and in the US it’s often taxed 6-10%, varies by state. Items like those bakery goods, cheese trays, etc. are convenient for tourists. Crossing my fingers that your new Labor government will work to lower your energy costs! Thanks for taking us shopping, Hannah!!

As you’ve mentioned Hannah, many of us viewers are amazed at the selection of prepared and semi-prepared foods in UK supermarkets. Would love for you, and perhaps your sister too!, to do a “picnic basket” tasting review of popular categories of packaged foods suitable for a picnic in the park. Kinda like how the 2 of you review tea time foods? Might be interesting and helpful for us visitors to London!
  • I'm a Waitrose/Marks and Sparks girl...this both brought me comfort and homesickness, simultaneously. Im now begging my family to send me a care package solely filled with M&S if it can make it to New Orleans without melting. ❤💔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

American here. That's a great price for all that food. Definitely worth it. Good quality too.

I would love to see you and Nat have an afternoon tea at home. Take us shopping to buy all the pre-made food, then how you decorate the table, then rate what you bought.

My husband and i so enjoy your vlogs. They are humorous and informative at the same time. We loved the one you did recently of Kew Gardens. It took me back to my childhood. Please never stop Hannah. We love M&S as the choice is fantastic. We love any videos to do with food. As long as you continue to make them, we will watch them.❤❤

Im a Brit over in Massachusetts for one more year and yes the food prices are 40-60% higher and of a far lower quality. When we are shopping we spend most of the time in the supermarket looking at the ingredients and putting it back. High fructose syrup, GMO, dangerous food colouring, hormone injected beef, bleach washed chicken, trans fats and farmed salmon feed with artificial colouring to give the fish a brighter red colour. All banned in UK & EU. As for the bread its full or sugar, why? We mostly buy organic but that puts the price up even more so that basket you brought if you could find it all would be at least $120 and lower quality. Considering the Uk is out of the single market so the costs of bringing in Eu imports is higher now but still much lower than the States and they are self sufficient in most of their produce. It's just a rip off but. Lastly the packaging on most food looks as though it's been designed in the 1950's and never updated. Only one more year!!

Thanks Hannah. When I was in London last year, my friend and I stayed about two blocks from that exact M&S. Every night we stopped by to pick up something for dinner and breakfast the next day. In two weeks I think we only ate out 4 times. Just loved M&S! And yes, to us in Los Angeles, the food there is so cheap!

From a fan in the USA, “beige picky bits” is my new favorite phrase! It’s no longer drinks and apps at my house, it’s cocktails and beige picky bits!
  • Yet another American here. I was in Scotland in May with my cousins. We shopped at M & S and thought the prices were very reasonable! We bought not only food, but laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, paper towels, paper cups, paper napkins, and the like to use at our Airbnb. We had an overflowing cart and it cost 161 pounds! Everything we bought would have been twice the cost at home! Lovely store, that M & S! We loved everything we bought!
  • M&S have AMAZING deals on some of their price-locked basics like packet rice, pasta and canned soups. Often the same or cheaper than Lidl and twice the quality. I love M&S <3
  • Please do a monthly food vlog, it's absolutely gorgeous to see and hear you go shopping! We used to have a M & S here in Frankfurt, Germany, but that was back in the 2000s. I loved the sandwiches, they were really yummy!!!

American here - I wish I had a place nearby with all that amazing variety of prepared meals, particularly as I'm about to have a baby. The convenience of healthy, premade, and delicious food options is fantastic.
  • You make me smile your mind is everywhere and back . So fun to watch and hear your thoughts aloud❤
  • @user-me3oq1hw1n
I know there are many food options these days but for me M&S is still M&S. Thanks Hannah 😊
  • @user-cd5wc3lv8w
Love love M&S… Shopped at M&S for longer than I care to remember 🛍️🛍️🛍️
  • You hit the nail on the head with your comment about US viewers and food prices. Every time I watch a UK video with food shopping I am shocked to see how inexpensive food is compared to the US. I love M&S Food Hall visits when I am in the UK and make sure to always stop in to stock up on their milk chocolate teacakes as I am addicted. Enjoy your videos and being able to see sights around London as I have not managed to visit is several years.
  • @Janestjohns
That was fascinating - Canadian prices have gone through the roof!! Thanks for taking us to M&S ❤
