I’m liking this Jack Quaid guy. He should be in a TV show or something.
  • The older I become, the more I realize all I want in life is some land in a calm quiet place in nature and to enjoy the simple things everyday around people I love. 🙏

When I was 19 had a friend and rugby teammate take his life - completely out of the blue. Turns out he was really hurting over a heartbreak and didn't let anyone know about his pain. He was too young to have the perspective that he needed to move on. Steve was about to go off on scholarship to play rugby at uni in the fall of that year and was both a phenomenal athlete and very intelligent and well liked dude. We unknowingly spent his last night alive out with him at some local bars and nightclubs and had a great time. He was in such a good mood that night. Little did we realize it was because he had made peace with it and was just saying goodbye to everyone. We left the bar, he went home and gassed himself in his dad's garage. This song was played at the funeral and you have never seen so many gruff old rugby dudes bawling their eyes out. This kid was such a shining star at our club and was loved by everyone. Even now 30 odd years later I can still vividly remember this song playing and sitting in stunned silence at the funeral as many people wiped away tears. The years that have passed have not dimmed the memories of that day. If you bother to read this and are hurting - please dont isolate yourself and reach out for help - as a life long sufferer of depression myself, I can attest to how many times things that are bringing you down will pass over time and to quote one of my favorite movie's "As bad as things get, they go the other way too".............Rest easy Steve.

Someone told me long ago There's a calm before the storm I know, it's been comin' for some time When it's over, so they say It'll rain a sunny day I know, shinin' down like water I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? Comin' down on a sunny day Yesterday, and days before Sun is cold and rain is hard I know, been that way for all my time 'Til forever, on it goes Through the circle, fast and slow I know, it can't stop, I wonder I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? Comin' down on a sunny day Yeah! I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? Comin' down on a sunny day

Timeless classic. "Something magical about that one." Sir, I completely agree.

This is how I imagine Hughie and Annie to live out the rest of their lives and it's so calming

Song is pretty sad when you understand it's basically about CCR understanding they wouldn't be together as a band for much longer. Amazing timeless talent. Every member exactly where they needed to be, no position unimportant. Just wish they could've figured it out.

This song needs to play during credits in one of next season’s episodes

There aren’t many upsides to being old, but being in high school when Creedence was at their peak is one of them.
  • Most beautiful song I ever heard, If you listen it has more meaning than any song I ever heard.and I am going back right now and listen to it again.
  • My dad used to play this song in the car when i was little. Him me and my little sister would all sing along. Listening to this song after he passed, which he did when i was very young Gives me a bittersweet feeling. I will always love and cherish this song for being the soundtrack of my memories for him.
