You're collection is starting to look like one of a kind. The Pete , Cabover with a V12 and now 3408 that rolls on a dime. Good for you man. Your face bringing home that Cat was priceless. Now that she rolls over... that's a large relief. That engine compartment is going to need alot of love...but you're the man to do it. Now you're going to have a huge dilemma. Which Pete tows the other to a show? I know you must be curious as to how she pulls loaded. Can't wait to see her roll down the driveway. Happy weekend man!💪

I'm was so happy to hear that CAT roar to life. That thing is bound to pound the ground.❤🇺🇸🐘You got to build it to drive Wayne. it's too cool to do anything else.
  • Hearing that old V-8 Cat fire up was mint! Great job, Wayne! She runs smooth, and quiet, for sitting that long! Brought back some great memories! That truck was a stepper in its day! You are just the guy to bring her back! You two goobs polishing that shift knob was classic!

Dude, you gotta restore her. She’s a bad little girl and needs to be on the road again.
  • Now that is an epic find and you should be proud of it! Not only is it a 3408, but you’ve got the DITA version on your hands, which was the most powerful 3408 you could get from the factory. That engine will crank out 450 horse @2100 rpm and 1460 lb ft @1200 rpm.

Wayne you're sense of humor and dedication is the reasons why I never miss a video.
  • Not gonna lie I was very surprised to see how well that engine ran. That alone makes this thing worth it
  • @terrellfarms1
Wayne's still the man! My question are you still regretting the purchase now that you have her running?? Probably not! You have to keep her. She's a factory 3408 359 ex hood. You can't get much better than that.
  • Those old Cats were awesome motors. In all our time starting them after sitting, in the off chance the fuel rack is stuck they’re most always stuck off. We’ve never had a Cat run away on us. That truck is one hell of a find though, and I hope to see more updates on her soon!

I'd love to see it fresh like it once was. Definitely ones I'll be watching for.
  • Definitely needs to be a project to save. Tons of work, but super cool in the end. Your channel inspires me every week to keep working on my “junk” project. I am in bodywork stage now, but at least past the replacing sheet metal stage. Oh, your humor and commentary is what makes the channel! Straight up honest effort, not some made up bullshit channel.

Just the fact alone that you’re rescuing these vehicles from being left for dead is enough for me to sub instantly. God bless you and stay safe out there
  • That second start, wow--ripped to life faster than my old Toyota. This one's a runner for sure. Nice save, dude.
  • What a beast of a find! She wants to live too! Looking forward to seeing what you do with her going forward. 👍
  • Good looking ole 1980 classic Peterbilt. I’d rebuild that bad boy. Runs pretty good 👍 for an old CAT 🐱 😁👌 I’d give it what it needs and fix ‘er on up sir.
  • That thing has been flooded with atleast 3 bad hurricanes in Davis, I can't believe in how good of shape it's in. I'm just glad someone is getting it running again. It was a super nice truck when they first got it. That truck needs to be restored, it has a lot of history running seafood up and down the east coast and all over the United States. Keep up the good work!!

Wayne, do you even know how awesome your collection is? That 80 long hood Pete is something else! I love your channel and your dry sense of humour! What a dream line up, 2 x 80 Pete's, 1 with 8V92 and 1 with long hood CAT 3408! And in my opinion, the jewel in the crown, a 73 V12 Cabover, my rig dream! Do not sell any of them, unless you really want to know what regret feels like! Keep up the great work Wayne, cheers, Mike from New Zealand.
  • Sweet 👍👍 That makes the purchase & whole trip worth it !!!! Yes

Mint👍🏻 You can't be mad at that CAT starting performance. Polishing your knob had me in stitches
