Today I'm taking the famous Rovos Rail luxury train for 96 hrs across South Africa. Join me on this adventure from Cape Town all the way up to Joberg. Together we'll experience what's been named the world's most luxurious sleeper train, from inside the best room onboard (the Royal Suite) to the various dining rooms, the observation deck and even my ensuite bath!

I used my friend Jarvis’ luxury travel agency: theluxurytraveller.com/ to book this trip. He assisted no end in arranging all the finer details of the this once in a lifetime adventure.

The main reason I watch these is so I can enjoy and imagine luxury without having to pay for it but he is just a joy to watch as he travels the world with us and makes me feel so happy the more I watch these
  • Being South African born and bred, and having driven across the Karoo, it all looked so familiar. There is a energy in the ground in Africa and unless you have been there you don't understand it. It made me feel both so homesick but also proud to see the scenery, the sunsets and the beautiful train and proper luxury from a era long ago that is far more luxurious than anything modern that is touted as 'luxury' or 'premium' which don't hold a candle to this - this is proper old school luxury and attention to detail at it's finest. A fabulous video and journey and a new subscriber to your channel too! Thanks again fella.
  • Can’t believe there is enough water for a full bath on the train. That is so amazing.

I've recently discovered your channel and can't tell you how much I've enjoyed watching your adventures. Being chronically ill, I'm unable to do this kind of thing myself so it really is lovely to be able to experience them through you.

I just howled with laughter at the Istanbul train flashback 🤣 The Sweatbox Express!! From odious to opulent indeed. This one looked absolutely phenomenal!

Kid is making the push to 1M. So proud to have been here since 36K and the incredible job that you’ve done! Watch you as a fam for inspiration “one day”. Thank you Will!
  • Gotta say, I love your direction and shot framing. It must be so much work taking establishing shots, sitting yourself walking into a room from behind, etc. All the blocking, framing, and editing are top notch!
  • I cannot help but have a big cheesey grin on my face as I watch this lovely young man on his adventures and feeling excited for him. His English manners and infectious smile really help make this such a pleasurable channel to watch no matter where he is in the world.
  • Awesome to see my home country represented. After moving to another country, I realised just how much South Africa prides itself on customer service and a tailored experience. There’s nothing quite like it!
  • I am sooooooo proud to say that I am from South-Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 and I am so glad that you enjoyed the experience

Ugh why can’t more trains be like this? This looks like an awesome experience

Oh yes, my bucket list to ride this train to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe then stopping on the Victoria Falls bridge. It's my dream!!!!
  • @aaronredbear
As a South African it's pretty awesome to see it displayed under such a good light. It's not an authentic South African experience without loadshedding however but I'm glad it didn't majorly impact your enjoyment of the journey. Keep up the great content!
  • Our South African 🇿🇦 pride and joy. Hello from Johannesburg South Africa.
  • The way you know that you are in South Africa is seeing all the litter laying around.

I don’t subscribe to many channels as I’m not a huge social media type of person but I literally cannot wait for the latest of Will’s travel adventures. The way they are edited, the honest and frank opinions all done with massive charm are just intoxicating to watch. I am so envious of Will’s travels but not at all in a negative way as they are put together so inoffensively. This has been the best video to date in my opinion and although I have never been to South Africa I would do this trip all day long. Cheers Will, already looking forward to the next video.
