Today I’m taking one of the world’s most luxurious cruises for 5 days across the Caribbean. This is the long awaited Ritz Carlton Yacht, Evrima. Scheduled to launch in 2020, this was pushed back around 8 times until finally last October she was launched. I’ve experienced a few luxury cruises now, but this was different. With far fewer passengers, the level of staffing should be an unparalleled experience onboard.

I'll show you the entire experience from boarding in Florida, touring my suite along with the most luxurious "Owners Suite" onboard. We'll check out the dining, explore the marina and fully emerce ourselves in the world of Ritz Carlton.

Unfortunately today’s ultra luxury cruise wasn’t quite as seamless as I’d hoped. In this video I’ll be breaking down exactly what happened and if I think you should try it for yourself. As always, I remain unbiased and honest in my reviews, this is no exception.

0:00 - Intro
2:51 - Suite tour
4:39 - Dinner
8:00 - Balcony
11:04 - The Spa
13:05 - Pools
18:19 - Marina

  • This is what the internet should be used for - honest and informative reviews!! So refreshing to see.

Imagine paying all that money only to find they are understaffed, the food service is terrible, and some facilities are broken or shuttered? Amateur night, and somehow they got paid for all that and then felt they didn't need to do their jobs properly or provide what they promised. Good job informing us and for being so patient with the experience

For a price tag that high… EVERYTHING needs to be stellar…. Amenities, service, food, ……

We sailed on the Evrima in mid-December, and experienced the same problems you did - invisible concierge, phone system not working, non-functioning hot tubs, no drinks on deck 10, etc. It is unconscionable that they have not cared enough about their guests to fix any of these big issues.

Wow, great review. This would be abysmal service on any cruise line, but on a Four Seasons yacht it's absolutely unacceptable. At those prices, everything (including hot tubs) should work, a drink should be obtainable from every seat in the house in under 5 minutes, and a 15 minute wait for a menu should embarrass the crew and crew leader. If I'd payed $10K/p for this voyage, I would be furious. Thanks for keeping it honest!

This is so good because it's honest and not sugar coating a "luxury cruise" - it makes it so much more human.

I was on Evrima a few weeks ago and echo your sentiments exactly. You got the high and low points correctly. Well done (to you) and to Marriott, this diamond needs more polishing. I am writing this from my suite aboard celebrity Apex in the retreat and the differences in the service levels (and even the food) are substantial. The more intimate retreat/haven spaces aboard the newest mainline ships will give the luxury players are run for their money and they need to step it up.

the production value is insane, these vids are always so well filmed and edited
  • This is a great video! Thanks for giving people a genuine look inside a product not typically shown in this way!

You've quickly become my favourite youtube channel Will. I'm also extremely impressed you've managed to parlay yourself into a career as a luxury travel reviewer, well played sir.

Customer service, quality assurance, and value for money spent are all examples of things most corporations have mistakenly failed to maintain in their quest for profit.

Thanks for taking us along for the journey. Given the cost and brand, I was surprised by the lack of staff, cost of the spa facilities and overall experience. It's a good thing the canoeing guests were good rowers when the safety line gave way, lol. Not quite the in line with the Ritz's reputation for excellent service and pre-empting customer needs but hopefully this changes.

I appreciate how you are honest with stuff and don't just say that everything is great

Will and Millie, Thank you for bringing us along on this beautiful ship. It’s sad that you experienced issues with staffing and some areas of the ship as well as some of the food. The pricing and the RC name, you should have had a top notch experience. It looks like the weather was beautiful and I’m sure was a welcomed getaway. Can’t wait for the next video.
  • @bunnicula38
Hi, Millie!! Both of you are so cute! I get genuine happiness watching y'all enjoy yourselves on these trips. I love Will's expressions when he eats a particularly tasty meal. Keep up the travels!

Here to give a resounding YES!!! to the Antarctic cruise! 🙏🏻
  • They lost me when your champagne was put on the floor outside your room. The “under staffing” goes against the entire point of luxury cruise. There should be at least 1 to 2 crew to guest. And if the ratio of crew to guest is good, they have then hired the wrong staff. I watched u and Milly and thoroughly enjoyed your take. Thank you.
  • Yes for the Antarctic cruise - I'd be interested in seeing how the 'scientific' cruises like Viking work!

I was just talking to my husband about the Ritz Cruise, because he wont go on Carnival with me. We usually stay at the Ritz, and expect certain standards and attention to detail for the price. Thank you so much for the comprehensive video, and it helps in my decision to try it in the future once they have more time to work things out.
