Just after the Crypta show in in Belvidere, Illinois, on March 31st, a tornado hit the venue... The roof of the venue collapsed, many got hurt and Fred Livingston Jr. lost his life. Crypta was opening for the Revocation, Skeleton Remains and Morbid Angel tour.

I sat down with Fernanda after the band's show in Rochester on April 14 for an emotional interview. All live footage shot by me.

  • Thanks for this interview! Fernanda Lira is such a lovely and genuine person. A true ambassador of Metal. To hear the horrific story of the tragedy at the Apollo theater first hand was chilling and to hear how lucky they are to escape unharmed has obviously affected everyone involved tremendously. Crypta is a real breath of fresh air for metal and I’m really looking forward to hearing their new album. Wishing them all the best for the future and safe travels for the remainder of their US tour! Greetings from Northern Michigan ❤️🙏🤘🌎

that must have been very difficult for the band to have to experience a person's death and since shades of sorrow came out it seems that they are doing much better wow what a masterpiece

Fernanda on stage looks like a monster from The Witcher, but, as you can see here in this film, she is a very lovely and beautiful woman❤❤❤

  • great band and ppl misunderstand metal because of the way it sounds and the way ppl look, but metal bands are some of the most profound human beings. Metal forever!

That was the most emotional interview I have seen, I have missed that tragic event and hope for the best on all parts.
  • I specifically bought tickets to see Crypta, and was lucky enough to see them at the Gramercy Theatre in NY. Illinois was a crazy, awful situation, and I'm glad the bands were able to continue the tour and have everyone come together to support each other in the aftermath. I'll be a lifelong Crypta fan.

  • Awesome video, wow, first time I hear that detail of the tragedy. We will never leave these girls fall alone, we will always support Crypta until the end. Fernanda have such an amazing vibe, I had the chance to talk to her in Texas and I could feel the magic and the incredible vibe in the air, can't wait to see them again on the next tour. Thank you for this amazing video !🤘😃

Great interview, you can tell in any interview just how much heart the band has. I follow them on Instagram and you just know how deeply this has affected them all. Amazing band, amazing women and just such a passionate, hard working group who give a huge amount of time for their fans. I'm really hoping that they come to the UK soon, I will be there like a flash! Brazilian, and even South and Central American metal is like nothing else on this planet.
  • Also absolutely enjoyed Crypta seeing them kill it here in Pensacola was well worth the experience, 1st time seeing all the bands on this particular tour.

Metal community is a "global family" explaining how we all have each other's back is the best way I've heard it said.
  • I cannot wait for the new album!!! On another topic, I live in Tornado Alley, and I never forget the people who have passed because of a storm. My thoughts are with Fred's family.

I hope crypta arent getting any hate over this, they were the opening band and with the least control over the show.
