Great interview! However, I really preferred how the bass was mixed in SoS in comparison to EotS. In fact, for my taste, everything sounded waaay better (and heavier!) in the second album. However, I must say that I usually prefer the vocals live. They sound more raw and powerful.

She is awesome. I discovered Nervosa before they even dropped their first official album. Bought their Time of death Vinyl back in the day as well! Although she went her own way now it's crazy to see how far they've all come today. Shades of sorrow is amazing.

I totally understand what Fernanda means about the mix BUT tbh i found it a awesome breath of fresh air. The way that on occasion the bass cuts through, very Alex Webster vibed. Plus it wasnt jarring, i found it tastefully done but damn a better tone/mix on the next album. Im already hyped for it! i just know Crypta 3rd album will be amazing AGAIN! I could watch and listen to Fernanda talk for days. She's very engaging, chill, funny and pleasant to listen to. Cant wait for the UK tour. Fernanda is the Queen of blackened death metal and Crypta are the Gods of blackened deathmetal. Prove me wrong, i dare you! :-P

I reckon the mix is really good and have seen loads of comments saying that. The bass standing out is a good thing!

Great interview! I found it interesting that Fernanda critiqued the bass mix. Personally I thought it was excellent, even in Poisonous Apathy. The only thing I'd change for the future would be to get a better separation between Jessica and Taina.
