Samsung LED 46" UN46C6900 Calibration Settings adjusted by Geek Squad

These are the best settings I have seen for this TV. The dynamic mode really destroys your TV lifespan. When you follow this tutorial, you will notice that the Calibration Day setting will look amazingly, and realistic. The Dynamic mode will always turn on when you start the TV. I will figure this out soon to turn this feature off. Dynamic mode has the Colors wrong and are too exaggerated. I will explain all settings needed for calibration and this will enhance the lifespan of your TV and will have superior quality.

Also if your in a room or living room with almost no lighting coming in, then these are the perfect settings. If their is some light coming into the TV, then try to adjust the brightness and back-light a little bit to accommodate your needs.

Auto Motion Plus 120z is an annoying thing which sometimes causes nausea. If your watching Bluray movies your good with these settings in the video. If your watching cable, just either turn it off or set it to standard.

To get into Service menu first turn off the TV, wait and then press mute 1 8 2 and then the power button.

Everything else is in the video. Enjoy.
Also, I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your TV. Use these settings at your on discretion.

It did seem like the Screen felt a little greyish/non white.
Here are some new settings for your calibration day. or any other setting.
Backlight = 20
Contrast = 100
Brightness = 45
Sharpness = 50
Color = 58
Tint = 50/50
Eco = Everything off

Advanced Settings / Almost Copies Dynamic which is locked so i found out what they used
Blacktone = Darkest
Dynamic Contrast = High
Gamma = +3
Expert Pattern off
RGB mode off
Color Space = Native. Native and Auto does make a difference. Watch a basketball game and choose both. Native looks more realistic and Auto chooses colors that are much brighter.
White Balance = Reset to defaults
10p White balance = off
Flesh tone = 0
Edge Enhancement - off
LED motion plus = off

Picture options
Color Tone = cool
Size = 16:9 or Screen fit
Both Filters Auto
Auto Motion plus: Either Off or Blur - 10 and Judder = 0
Auto Protection = 2 hours
and Smart LED off.

I will look into the laser green fields. Maybe I can just change the Gain on the Green so it doesnt not look so laser green.
I will do an update soon.

    Your calibration was like night and day, no pun intended. I own a UN55D8000 been looking everywhere for a good calibration your work the best. Thnkx thumbs up.
  • I have the Samsung 6900 46" and some of the setting info wasn't the same, but it did take away that soap opera looking effect my TV had. Thanks.
  • @moncherias
    Amazing video man, thanks for uploading it!
  • BestBuy took your money my friend. Greyscale 2 point or 10-21 point white balance should be calibrated along with color space, tint, sharpness, picture size, 6 point color (red,blue,green,cyan, yellow, magenta). I have owned 5 different Samsung tv's and I have used Calman for the best results.

    Thank you and nice job with the explanation, I just bought a 51 inch Samsung 3-D TV and I love it. How much did the geek squad charge to come and calibrate your TV?
  • Setting the judder to 9 causes massive SOE. Most people either use Clear or Custom with 7-10 on motion and 0-3 on judder to minimize SOE.
  • Does anyone have calibrated settings for Samsung's 39 inch led(2013). Warm 2 as a starting point is always recommended but damn its to reddish for me
  • @xFlared
    i have the same tv but im stressed with all these calibrations

    @roydestouche Google checkerboard image calibration Go back thru settings and find adc/wb then hdmi calibration with the checkerboard image on your tv screen. It should only take one time to get success.

    I tried these and they are really, really bad on my brand new UN50ES6900...just thought I'd let you know. Thanks for the effort!
  • @jmarenasc
    hey friend, can you help me ??? I made a mistake changing ADC/WB , ADC , AV Calibration and now all my channels see dark !!! Please, I"d really apreciate it. Thanks for any advice
  • @3Ts64
    just hooked up a 55" smart LED tv & the picture is only half the screen of the tv. its not letting me select (screen fit) or (wide screen) please help! ty
  • Hey, man, thank you so much for putting this video up! But, I do have one question: do you think these settings will also work for my UN46C6500 LED? I mean, there's not much of a difference between our TVs. Just to give you an idea, your TV has a DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ration) of 7,000,000 to 1 and mine has a DCR of 5,000,000 to 1.
  • If only I had a dollar for everytime the word "basically" was used... lol
  • @CSJiGSaW08: Yeah, I tried your settings earlier today (right before the Lakers game) and I just didn't like what I saw. I then Googled around some more, and came across some decent movie-mode settings from the CNET and AVS forums. I was able to tweak my white balance and I came up with a really great picture. I'm loving it. So, I guess there must be a difference. Either way, thanks a lot, man. If anybody wants calibration settings for the Samsung UN45C6500 LED HDTV, send me a message...
