I have always wondered what information can be gleamed from those little neuro tests! Thanks as always for de-mystifying the unfathomable Dr. 😊 #WeHaveMS

The "eyes" have it...👁️👁️...and so does this detailed, but easy-to-understand aspect of the neurological exam! Thanks, Doc B.!

It is so ironic that you posted this video because I woke up this morning with a head splitting migraine. The nausea followed and then the blurred vision. I absolutely positively have learned so much from your videos and I thank you for posting them.

Hey Dr. B. Thanks for all your videos. Helps me understand more and more of the reason my Doctor does what he does. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to do these videos for all of us to understand things better.
-

Thank you so much for the MS videos. Many years ago in 1994, when l began to experience MS symptoms there was little available in the way of explaining what was happening or what was not supposed to be happening. I love your videos and references them when explaining anything to my family, friends or other Msers. Keep it up please, you are very entertaining in your teaching methods. Thanks Linda

Thanks doc for yet another “fun” video Love it when you spread your knowledge in these videos 👍

It’s funny that you posted a video on this topic tonight, because I woke up this morning with a fairly large dark spot on my left eye. Luckily it went away within seconds, but it scared me to death that I was going blind in that eye!

My optic neuritis was what led to my ms diagnosis. Over the last 4 years I had been experiencing lots of visual problems. Starting with nystagmus , that progressed to vertigo. That then moved onto double vision and one eye would wander off in the other direction. The optic neuritis came on suddenly last September and affected both eyes with the right being most severe with zero vision and visual field defect in my left. The hospital trainee doctors were brought to me one by one to examine my afferent pupillary defect so at least that served a purpose 🙂. MRI, and lumbar puncture were both positive for ms activity. My sight hasn't gotten better , no improvement at all. Having to consider a change of job as my current job involves driving which I'm currently not able to do. It's been difficult to deal with for sure.

Thanks Doc for explaining what I am living. Thanks Amber for being a good stand in. My neurologist has done these tests on me. Knowing what you are looking for makes sense now. What started my journey was a trip to the ophthalmologist who then referred me to my neurologist. Optic neuritis affected my left eye central vision. This thing is real! I’m watching your videos and how you explain things makes understanding the symptoms and what to expect much simpler and clearer. Thank you.

Once again very helpful. As the mom of a MS patient I sometimes wondered what all was going on in exams. This gives me a better understanding.
