I have always wondered what information can be gleamed from those little neuro tests! Thanks as always for de-mystifying the unfathomable Dr. 😊 #WeHaveMS

My optic neuritis was what led to my ms diagnosis. Over the last 4 years I had been experiencing lots of visual problems. Starting with nystagmus , that progressed to vertigo. That then moved onto double vision and one eye would wander off in the other direction. The optic neuritis came on suddenly last September and affected both eyes with the right being most severe with zero vision and visual field defect in my left. The hospital trainee doctors were brought to me one by one to examine my afferent pupillary defect so at least that served a purpose 🙂. MRI, and lumbar puncture were both positive for ms activity. My sight hasn't gotten better , no improvement at all. Having to consider a change of job as my current job involves driving which I'm currently not able to do. It's been difficult to deal with for sure.

It is so ironic that you posted this video because I woke up this morning with a head splitting migraine. The nausea followed and then the blurred vision. I absolutely positively have learned so much from your videos and I thank you for posting them.

The "eyes" have it...👁️👁️...and so does this detailed, but easy-to-understand aspect of the neurological exam! Thanks, Doc B.!

Been living with diplopia for ten years now. My neurologist always brings the students in to observe my nystagmus. I must be a textbook example :-)

Hey Dr. B. Thanks for all your videos. Helps me understand more and more of the reason my Doctor does what he does. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to do these videos for all of us to understand things better.

    Really informative, thank you! 👀
  • It’s funny that you posted a video on this topic tonight, because I woke up this morning with a fairly large dark spot on my left eye. Luckily it went away within seconds, but it scared me to death that I was going blind in that eye!

Optic neuritis was the first symptom I had, at least the one that I could NOT ignore. Failed miserably the Ishihara colour exam. This was many years ago, and my vision has come back to almost baseline :) Thanks for these informative videos! #MSwarrior

optic neuritis pain...attack, is worse then having a Lumbar Puncture in my opinion. I’ve had two so far and wow....I didn’t know what to do with my head! The whole left side of my face was numb and I will never forget that pain. I’m Blessed to have a phenomenal eye doc....he keeps on top of my eyes.
