I came back from seeing Pompeii yesterday!!!!!! It blew me away. Nothing can prepare you for this place. So much of their lifestyle is intact in the ruins for us to see and learn. Very very tragic end to those people but an amazing place that everyone needs to see

I am the world's biggest loser, but, in my 30's I was able to see parts of Italy. I will be forever grateful that I have the memories of seeing Pompeii, Rome and Venice. Anyone who loves history should move heaven and earth to see Italy themselves, it is the greatest place on this planet, and I am so fortunate that my dream came to fruition.

This is a great excavation to help understand their way of life! I’m quite sure more rooms, houses, and perhaps animal stables will be found. Are the relics eventually going into a museum? Are any skeletons going to re-buried? Lots of information to learn

When building a new house, the sacrificial animal's head (a Ram or a Bull, with golden coins in its mouth ) is still practiced in northern Albania. The head is placed in the foundations as an offering, and the meat is fed to the people who help build the foundation walls. We did this in 1973 when my father bought our house in Montenegro.
