You didn’t mention how when Thrawn signaled to destroy the night sister temple, the night sisters were thrown off by it and seemed to not like it. I believe that was the start of a rift between their alliance

So basically Peridea is the center of everything. It's connected to Purrgils, Nightsisters, Zeffo, Mortis Gods. Also, I just hope they continue Baylan's story in live action. Have Shin take his role or recast him. I know everyone already said it,but I LOVED Ray Stevenson's performance. His gravitas carried every single scene he was in.

When Ezra says the thing about the blade emitter being too narrow or whatever it's a joke callback to the lightsaber blades in rebels being so skinny

Did anyone else notice the face that the three witches pulled when Thrawn ordered the bombardment on the temple? They did not see very happy. There could be a betrayal there.

Those aren't Purge Troopers. They're Death Troopers, like the ones we see in Rogue One. We also see them accompanying Thrawn in Rebels. These are probably those same troopers, but it looks like they've been literally dead for quite a while.

Three things: those were Death Troopers, not Purge Troopers (potentially re-animated versions of the two that Ezra kills while storming the bridge of the Chimera in the Rebels finale), and the fact that they're undead Death Troopers is probably a reference to the Legends 'Death Troopers' novel about zombie stormtroopers. Second, the lights in the sky at the end are just the rings of Peridea. Finally, Huyang says Ezra's blade emitter is too thin, probably a reference to all the complaints about the lightsabers being too thin in Rebels.

There's a lot more meaning to Danse Macabre's violin being played at the ressurection scene. The entire composition is meant to represent the dance of the dead in the one night of the year where death let's them rise from the grave to enjoy themselves. The whole piece is telling a story, from xylophones representing the clicking bones of the dancing skeletons to the wind instruments at the end representing the sigh of the dead as they know the party is over and they have to go back in the ground. But the off-tune violin we hear in this episode is the very start of the composition, and it represents, literally, death's fiddle, which is the means through which death awakens the dead for their little ball, just as the witches were waking the dead here.

I don't know if it's a little callback to the Rebels animation style but, when building his lightsaber, Ezra says it won't work because the emitter is "too narrow" and Huyang assures him it will 😂

In the fight when Ahsoka says "Sabine. Blasters" This is Sword and Shield a common battle tactic use in The Clones Wars and referenced in Rebels by Rex.

The 'lights' in the sky that you mention towards the end are the rings of the planet (*edit* made of Purgil bones as a few people noted below), like Saturn's rings. Great coverage Ryan and team, I really enjoyed this season.

That scene with Huyang’s ship made me think of two quotes. Buzz Lightyear screaming “MY SHIP!” And Jack Sparrow screaming “STOP BLOWING HOLES IN MY SHIP!!”
  • @Plush.Hunter
Ray Stevenson's loss really hurts now. Baylan's story seemed really interesting. I am up for a recast if they find the right actor.

I loved the callback to Rebels when Ezra spoke in troopers communicator ~ he was always impersonating and calling himself Jaba the Hut.
  • @TiMoThY211991
I noticed that everyone who came to the other galaxy (nameless troopers on the ring ship notwithstanding) stayed behind in that galaxy; Ahsoka, Sabine, Huyang, Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati, Morgan Elsbeth all do not return. Meanwhile everyone who was on that planet before gets back to the main galaxy; Thrawn, the Night Sister witches, the army of Storm Troopers, Ezra, and the "cargo", all return
  • @MrOwen817
When Ezra is building his light saber, he says “the blade emitter is too thin” referencing the thin blade style of the sabers in rebels.
  • @mda187
The part at the end with Ray Stevenson was pretty sad. I was hoping he would have a heroic death or something that brought his story to a close, but the ending meant they planned on him being in the series/movies a lot longer, and now I'm not sure what they will do. He was easily the best character/actor in the series, and he won't be easy to replace or whatever they will have to do.
  • You can really see Diana Lee Inosanto's martial arts background in her duel with Ahsoka - graceful and powerful
  • @TheJohnmusk
Felt more like a beginning than an ending.

A few things: Yep, those are death^2 troopers. Could point out that Ezra's force jump was actually his first force ability. He naturally learned this one as a child. Third! Sabine turning back to rejoin her Master, giving up on following Ezra is a true show of selflessness. I have no doubt that she'll excel in light side teaching.
