I love this version, but I just saw the Deaf West revival on broadway with Andy and although it still hold the playfulness its definitely less comical and I enjoyed that more

i showed this to my friend at a sleepover at like 3am when we were both going a little bit crazy, and the morning after, when my sister asked her what her favorite scene in newsies was she said, “the one where draco malfoy seduces davey and then they make out and shit” and she just went back to eating her cereal. my sister actually almost pissed herself.
