Okay but this theme is also musically genius cuz it’s hinting that Optimus is about to die. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear the Dies Irae (classical music’s longstanding melody of death) in the string section. Steve Jablonsky truly doesn’t get enough love as a composer

My favorite part of the fight was that Optimus was losing until Megatron threatened Sam. Optimus was holding back until he threatened to take away someone he cared about. That gave prime the strength, anger, and adrenaline rush to get up and become an unstoppable force of nature. Really shows how far someone can carry on to protect the ones they love
