  • This was the Transformers game that treated its fans like adults. And I love it for that.

Hasbro: It's just a video game based on toys from the 80's, don't go too hard with the music Troels Folmann:

Optimus Prime: After eons of conflict, I finally see the truth of your words Megatron. Megatron: And what might that be Optimus? Optimus Prime: This universe, no matter how vast, will never be big enough for you and I to coexist! ( Most epic lines of the last mission. I chose Megatron's ending. )

Activision, the company we have strived to protect, can no longer sustain us. Eons of game making has caused the very developers to lose effort, halting its production of quality. Many of us have abandoned the corporation, in hopes of finding a new High Moon game license across the stars. I am a player, merely part of the fan base. We do not know how many of our brothers got the original glorious games before the global online shutdown, but I can only be certain of this, just one company remains, Certain Affinity of the upcoming Transformers Online. please affinity you are our only hope

I would just stay at the main menu stare at Cybertron and listen to the song lol

The chorus emphasizes the stakes, the war felt like a war. This is the game series that treated it's Transformers like people, the kind of humanity & care that Bayformers couldn't bother to prioritize over the product placement & human character drama.
  • Now this is what war sounds like. There is no glory or triumph in this theme. No epic bravery or melancholic dreariness. Just a cacophonous harmony of fear, dread and desperation, fuelled by paranoia and an instinctual desire to survive. Such feelings can only arise from war, a war whose purpose has been twisted and transformed into asinine obscurity, all the while the only world you’ve ever really known crumbles to scrap around you. That’s the sad nature of the war for Cybertron and this theme perfectly captures that hopelessness and dread so beautifully and elegantly. The bellowing bass, the chanting choir, the ruthless battering of the percussion, the wailing brass and the racing rhythm of the synth and strings. All of it is influenced by that feeling of dread and despair, merging together like Bruticus to form a glorious tribute to the death and destruction that has ravaged Cybertron for millennia. This war may have had a noble beginning, but it has ultimately lead to Cybertron’s downfall. This theme is not only a tribute to that war, but a requiem for the peace it destroyed, an anthem of bygones. And yet, after all the chaos and violence the theme evokes, as soon as the music ends on that final blare of the brass, the final bang of the drum, silence ensues. That is the silence of respite, reflection, and… hope. The final scene where the Ark and the Nemesis are hurtling towards the space bridge with this theme blaring in the background perfectly encapsulates that chaos that the theme fortifies. And then the space bridge collapses, the theme ends, and all is silent. The cries of war fade, and it brought in its wake a small flicker of hope that Optimus clings to with his entire spark. The theme of war gives way to the silence of peace. It amazes me that all these emotions can be compelled from a theme that only spans two minutes, and yet is used as the background music for a startup menu! But if you ask me, this is how you properly introduce a game about war and the consequences of it. Fall of Cybertron and its predecessor, War for Cybertron, will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the anchors of my childhood, and I am eternally grateful for it. Let us applaud Troels Brun Folmann, the composer for this game, for his musical genius at capturing what a war of Transformers is meant to be. ‘Til All Are One
  • Such a good song. A song for adventure, struggle and heroes. A song not just for Transformers, but for war.
  • The best Transformers game ever made. You can tell what a labor of love this game was in every level, every piece of dialogue, every song that plays. I love it all to death.
  • @onyxscorpio
Can Transformers get any more epic than this? If High Moon Studios can get the rights to make a third Transformers Cybertron game, they'll have to work really hard if they wan't to beat this awesome game!

The thing I love about this album and its theme is that this leitmotiff is a CONSTANT in all the tracks. There's no specific theme for Autobots or Decepticons. Cuz this game isn't about just one faction. It's not specifically about Optimus Prime or Megatron, even if they are the main characters. It's a story about all of them. It's about the Transformers as a whole. It's about their war, it's about the final days on Cybertron, their collective fears, hopes, and their desperation to cling on to a planet running on just fumes. That to me is incredible.
  • Imagine just how eerily quiet cybertron must have been after the great exodus. Ya there was still some cybertronians left but they went underground in search of untapped energon veins so that leaves the surface in a state of silence
  • @Batprime1
"Cyberton, the homeworld we Autobots have strived to protect from the Decepticons can no longer sustain us. Eons of civil war have caused the greatest of causltities: our planet's very core has shut down, haulting it production of life giving Energon. Most of us have abandoned our home, in hopes of finding a new life among the stars. I am Optimus Prime, Leader of the Autobots. We don't know how many of our brothers escaped Megatron's blockade, I can only be certain of this. Just one Transport Remains"

Megatron: This ought to do the job. Optimus: Even if you destroy me Megatron--others will rise to defeat your tyranny! Megatron: Then I'll just have to destroy you ALL! Optimus: Bumblebee! Megatron: What a WASTE of Energon. Optimus: After eons of conflict, I finally see the truth of your words, Megatron. Megatron: And what might that be Optimus? Optimus: This Universe, no matter how vast, will never be big enough for you and I to coexist!
