I cannot for the life of me figure out where everyone thinks Lebron has surpassed this guy.... seriously, i don't get it
  • When Michael said, "When Kobe died, a piece of me died", you know the love that these guys had for each other. RIP Kobe. You are still deeply missed.......

When MJ officially retired it’s when I truly started to enjoy watching Kobe play and no one ever came closer to MJ than Kobe.
  • @khonable
That’s the best description of MJ , “relentless and flawless”.
  • @achozenfew
Kobe was the only person that could handle the mentorship and friendship of MJ.

No flopping, no load management, no skipping teams to try to form superteams, no whining, only a killer instinct and competitive drive. Seeing this reminds me of better NBA basketball than we see today. RIP, Kobe.
  • Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. While it is sad, he will be remembered for a LONG time. He is a legend.
  • @Ninoy2059
Two unmatched talent. They are legends. They will never be replaced. RIP Kobe. I loved Kobe, but, Michael Jordan is the best ever basket ball player.

Michael and Kobe are both prime examples of having talent AND work ethic
  • @jorgoat23
Everyone want's to be like Mike,But there's only one dude that come close to him and that's KOBE. RIP MAMBA
  • I love the way Michael took Kobe under his wing, and respected Kobe's game and Kobe's work ethic and their similarities. Because typically, Michael would dig his heels in and view anyone who challenged him as a threat. And Michael would turn his power up to the 11th degree to eradicate the threat (like he did with the Pistons, Knick's, Pacers etc). But I'm glad that Michael saw in Kobe not a threat --- but a younger brother to be tutored and shaped and molded into a second version of himself. And the game was all the better for it. (Who better to take advice from than a guy with a perfect record in the NBA Finals???) MJ-AIR-23-😎🐐 ♾️💯

Over the years, as a Jordan die hard fan, I have gained a lot more admiration and respect for Kobe Bryant. Yes, he was flamboyant, sometimes arrogant, but most of the time a true student of the sport, one of the greatest players in the history of basketball, and a passionate competitor. A winner in his own right, a product of talent and great work ethic, a legend made bigger by his contributions on and off the court. He may not be my idol, but he will forever be one of my favorite players. He may not be Michael Jordan, but he has earned and deserved every thing, and he will be forever be a legend of the sport, the one and only Kobe Bryant.
  • @willm3539
The closest anyone will ever get to being like mike. Respect. RIP
  • @samfisher170
They both found another person on the planet that understood each other’s drive and tenacity, and when Kobe died, I didn’t expect it to hit MJ the way it did, but like he said, he lost his little brother that day. Great video!
  • @Big_Sierra
Man.. I gained a lot of respect for Kobe watching this. What a good dude. Unlike someone else cough he doesn’t even want to be compared to Mike. Ain’t concerned with someone calling him the “greatest”. He just wanted to be the best he could be. Absolute legend. RIP
  • @t.cell24
The way he spoke about the spin move really goes to show how much dedication he had in studying MJ
  • @glennciaga
This is why Kobe and MJ are literally my two most favorite players ever.
  • @tubeles5920
Both Killers. No stupid flopping. No drama whining. I'm 80s-90s guy, when NBA was NBA. But somehow Giannis and the Bucks brought some dignity back in the NBA.
  • I wonder if we will ever see it again. A player so fierce, so athletic, so gifted that they completely overshadow all the pro athletes around them. Total domination to the point its no discussion who owns the league at that time. A player that nobody wants beef with. A player that actually instills fear in their opponent. It was Jordan, then Kobe, but it has been unclear ever since Kobe retired.
  • @ONI1013.
You Cannot overstate the impact for someone with Kobe’s raw skill, IQ, determination + Being mentored by the GOAT..
