In order to heal your chronic dizziness, you have to know where it's coming from. But how, exactly, can you tell if you have PPPD, MDDS or other dizziness that is coming from a neural circuit issue (aka the brain misinterpreting information from your senses because it is stuck in alarm/alert mode). In this video, I give you 19 possible pieces of evidence that you can use to determine if your dizziness is PPPD, MDDS, neural circuit dizziness- or something else. As a reminder, if you have not had a full medical evaluation, that should always be your first stop! There are some causes of chronic dizziness that are medically treatable (e.g. third window syndrome).

  • I’m literally crying because this is the first time anyone has described the dizziness that I’ve felt on and off for the last 25 years. I’ve had CT scans , blood work, I’m doing yoga, meditation, working out. The dizziness is like a plague on the brain. I also have severe anxiety.. is a vicious mental cycle that doctors are blind to. I feel blessed to have come across the video!!! Words cannot describe how grateful I am to finally have a name for this peculiar feeling of dizziness. It’s so hard to explain to anyonlike a bad tattoo on the brain. Thank you 🙏🏽 I prayed to Jehovah to show me what I’ve been suffering through. ❤

I met every one of the personality types you mentioned as often seen with chronic dizziness. I'm 62 and it has been a REALLY stressful year. After 10 months of suffering, I am so grateful to have found your channel. I am feeling better after just watching multiple videos. It helps to know that there is hope. The 6 healthcare professionals I have seen were ZERO help. God bless you!!

I literally felt like you sat down and asked me about my life then made this video. Wow. Just wow. For the first time in 20 years of being dizzy and having no answers, I feel like I finally have an answer. If I could hug you I would. I just bought the workbook and am going through your course. Thank you, Dr. Yo, so very much.

This is 100% me. I’m so happy I found this channel because you’ve helped me more than the 5 doctors I’ve seen!

That's me, inconsistent symptoms along with other problems make me lightheaded. I have a lot of the medical conditions you mentioned. Anxiety from pain is an added bonus!
  • I was diagnosed with vestibular migraine, but I never felt like that was really the right diagnosis. I’ve tried so many migraine meds and they just make me feel worse. This explanation really resonates with me.
  • This was a perfect description of my history with chronic dizziness! And many on here agree that you are amazing, thank you Dr. Yonit! You are a blessing to all of us!

Oh my god. You have basically described my symptoms to a tee! In a way that I have never been able to articulate to doctors or anyone in my life. You really do get it. You're awesome!
  • @Maryann-pd9uf
Finally, a name for this condition. Thank you for listing all of the possible contributing factors.
  • You are absolutely brilliant 🤩 Thank you SO much for this 💖🌹 I definitely have to work on my anxiety issues and worrying about other people liking me or not! 🙏
  • @jasodan72
Wow, just wow. I have everyone of these. Thank you for this info and your great channel. Now just need to figure out how to correct it.
  • @Megan_Jennifer
Every single thing you listed, I relate to!! 😅 thank you for this video. This reassured me today, since my symptoms feel awful and it made me a bit more anxious that something more serious was going on. Definitely seems like a pathway in the brain! Thanks Yonit 🥰

You provide such high quality, concise information. Thank you!
  • Very helpful, I’ve been dealing with this since 2017. It first occurred as a panic attack at work while typing on my computer screen, everything was moving and i felt i was going to pass out or was having a heart attack or my sugar dropped bc I didn’t eat anything. But at the I didn’t know it was a panic attack. After my anxiety slowly started to creep in as the days went by. My fear slowly increased day by day. I was reducing driving, I couldn’t go to work, and go to social venues bc my dizziness would intensify and was embarrassed of fainting in front of ppl although that never happened. I’ve seen every specialist you can imagine but I’m still struggling with it.
  • 10:27 I’ve just recently discovered your channel and so grateful for it. I believe I have BPPV but can a person have more than one version of vertigo. After watching this video, I can relate to most of the symptoms and traits talked about.

I'm so glad to see that PPPD is becoming more frequently talked about - I'm seeing more and more papers, videos and just overall attention being brought to this not very well known, controversial debilitating condition. Like many others here, I have never been formally diagnosed with PPPD - but the more I hear about it the more it sounds like exactly what I've been experiencing for 5+ years. One thing I have noticed that you don't mention in many of your videos is regarding what I consider to be the most frustrating is cognitive impairment - e.g. Brain fog, concentration, short memory etc in addition to the unpredictable, unreproducible, and unexplained dizziness sensations. Do you not find that many patients complain of cognitive impairments? Also - How important do you think it is to get a formal diagnosis of of a neural circuit dizziness disorder? At this point I'm pretty confident self-diagnosing with PPPD, and frankly I'm a bit tired of going to ENTs and neurologists who listen to my symptoms, try the Epley maneuver, then just right everything off as "anxiety" and kick me out the door; I do live in the US, but I'm in an area with limited professionals and lack who lack proper vestibular equipment.

Thanks for this video! I thought you were describing me for a second there. I've been suffering from persistent swaying motion for about a year now. It gets worse when I get a migraine and neck stiffness. My jaw always clicks back and forth and sometimes jumps out of track when I'm chewing. You mentioned chronic pain and GI issues as well and I get that too. Thanks for the enlightenment! Sometimes I don't know anymore if I'm imagining the other things I feel.
