  • @Vespira21
I spotted the twitch user at 13:20 saying "I wish there was a Tim and Marcin collab". Congrats your dream came true my guy, here is CLASSICAL DRAGON !! ahah
  • @luna_bz
omg i’m so happy you found tim henson isn’t he INCREDIBLE 😭 i can’t wait to see you react to more of his / polyphia’s stuff
  • Polyphia is for sure a rabbit hole you want to fall down! I was absolutely fascinated and immediately obsessed when I first heard them...Incredibly innovative, like what am I even listening to?! But in a good way 😂
  • @auradmg
The greatest thing about Ego Death is that it's an audiovisual biography of the band; starts with Tim alone, then Tim & Scott, then the band together. The heavy distortion interlude represents their early career in neoclassical metal. They start in a basement studio, then inside the building (industry), then at the top with rock royalty. That section starts with Steve solo, then he's backed by the band, then Tim and Scott join him as equals.
  • OMG!!! You should check out "Playing God "and " G.O.A.T" by them 👌👀
  • @TinyHammer07
I had the pleasure to see Polyphia live and it was euphoric. Tim and Scott are just *chef's kiss*...and having a bassist and drummer that can match that. Highly recommend seeing them live!
  • @uuhhhhhhh4574
so glad you got a chance to be introduced to Polyphia!! the next two songs i would most recommend you listen/react to next would be “Playing God” and “G.O.A.T.” the whole band is absolutely incredible
  • The thumb thumping technique apparently he got from Tosin Abasi from animals as leaders it took him three months to learn it, but it was definitely worth it
  • @francess5500
Amazing! You'll need to check out the collab with Marcin, who's a Polish Acoustic Guitarist and also amazing!
  • Accent is on the second syllable: Puh LIFF ee yuh. They have some songs with vocal features, but I generally prefer their instrumental works. Check out Playing God, Chimera playthrough, Aviator, and recent live versions of Loud
  • @carpediem8871
Amazing artists!!! Steve Vai is a legend and their collaboration is awesome. Polyphia deserve more recognition. Thank you for checking them out. Tim collaborated with Marcin recently for "Classical Dragon" and is absolutely 🔥 🔥 🔥 Btw Marcin is another genius guitarist that will definitely blow your socks off😂
  • Man you will not believe how good is Polyphia entire team. Clays are just amazing and Scott, well no comments here ) They and Snarky Puppy are my most beloved discoveries of 2022.)
  • @xtlbx
I don't know why your chat boldly proclaimed that it's pronounced "poly-fee-uh" because it's actually "pol-iff-ee-uh". You had it right
  • @wangbrian8985
His signature guitar actually does have a sound hole; it's in the top of the guitar pointed directly at the face, so you can really feel the music.
  • Your take is absolutely on the spot when you said how the angle of the camera is framing the background that matches the colors of the room with his outfit. Tim does all this catchy things to grab people's attention to look at the video either from music or the aesthetic of the clothes, color of the video, or the video work with top notch editing. He wants to video to pop out as much as the music hes playing. He wants every single thing to drip and grab your attention and not let go until the video is over. Then you would replay the video again to look at all the beauty and editing and camera work lol Even for a YT video Tim is still keeping that Music Video production mindset. He himself is a producer too so its kinda expect he would go in great lengths to cash in on everything he can. Tim works a lot outside of just making and playing the music is whats crazy to people.
  • He has videos giving you a whole tour of his home studio(where he's playing in this vid) . You will fall off your chair and break things to see it all...his gear, his aesthetic, everything
  • @reemani2020
Thank you 😂 I laughed so hard. I think this is my favourite reaction from you ever. Go for a double knockout, why don't you? Watch Classical Dragon by Marcin and Tim: A collaboration of two of the best guitarists of this age.
  • @baldbearded9601
That was an epic reaction man haha.. Polyphia really is different and worth reacting to. Anything amd everything they do is jawdropping. You should do more! They deserve more exposure, and you will enjoy every second of it 👌
  • Re. The visuals: That's all Tim. He is a visual artist as well as an amazing guitar player and composer. In fact he studied graphic design. He simply is who he is in the same way as prince was with a style all his own. He and the band really deserve more attention. Re. Ego Death: What most people don't catch at first is the symbolism of the throne as each takes his turn with rising levels as Tim places himself at the bottom level. And... Ego Taps. :) The Horn is guest artist Brasstracks who is featured on the first track of the album.
