An ACL LCL tear is an injury that involves 2 important ligaments of the knee: the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and lateral collateral ligament (LCL).
These strong bands of tissue work together to help keep the knee stable and moving properly.
When a combined ACL LCL tear occurs, one may feel or hear a “pop,” followed by swelling, pain, and joint instability.
The treatment plan for a combined ACL tear and LCL injury will often call for both ligaments to be surgically treated at the same time.

The surgeries ruined my athletic career and I regret having them in the first place because it made the pain worse. I had a pettla graft in my right knee. The pettla didn't heal, right no one seems to know what to do. The screws hurt. I can feel them, but no one believes me. The surgery is almost 3 years old it should have long since been healed. My left, which was a quad graft, healed way better the button do hurt if I accidentally bump them into something though.
