Such a unique and incredibly versatile OHBH β¦ only top player ever to have an effective open stance OHBH, even on the run! Not to mention his bunted BH (see passing shots vs Nadal) where he keeps his left hand on the handle as long as possible for extra stability, only releasing the left hand on the follow through for extra control and feel. Incredible β¦ my guess is he used to have a double hander and this gave him the ability to experiment with different techniques, each useful in specific situations

i remember him playing vs nadal in the french open final and even though he lost, he won a set and that was by far the most intense set of sandcourt tennis i'd ever seen. completely skilled ridiculous reckless high intensity. simply marvellous.

As much of a Rafa fan that I am, I love watching the two of them play. They have so much respect for each other. Their matches are always so exciting. And I think they both have that ability to hit amazing shots that just barely make it on the line. Bravo Domi!
