Postponing your earthly desires and pleasures and focus on service for others or going inward and doing sadhana are ways to reach a more lasting kind of happiness. To live a selfless life can paradoxically be beneficial for your long-term well being and peace of mind.

    I like giving socks and conversations about God to the homeless population where I live. It seems a sort of union: I'm happy to give and share, the homeless are happy to receive and share with me, and God is loving every one. This has been called a win/win scenario. Is this Tapah?
