My favorite was always the frozen lemonade. All the other kids had the character treats, but mine was WAY better.

In 1972 , my older brother got legit lost following an ice cream truck. 🤣 he was gone for a few hours; the police found him and brought him home. our course, we still tease him about it to this very day! "I DID NOT GET LOST" he'll loudly cry...lol..

The screwball in the cone shaped cup was the absolute best!
  • I remember literally chasing the ice cream truck around the block for an ice cream sandwich - probably $0.50 at the time!! Loved the orange sherbet . (I mentionedpush-ups before I saw your video!!!).

I remembered the Vampire’s Secret sold in stores. My grandma bought me a box and I loved them. I don’t remember them in stores very long though. I am 41 now, and was around 8 or 9 when I had them, so summer 1991, 1992 maybe? Jello gelatin pops (not the pudding) were my favorite pops from yesteryears.

In my small town of less than 100, we had a town store next door and orange sherbet push-up was my daily addiction! Thanks for a great video Jon

I'm in Memphis and I wish we had Mr. Softee around here. No mention of the Mickey Mouse bar? The chocolate dipped ears, the vanilla face, so good! I miss the original Puddin' Pops and the fruit flavoured Gelatin Pops. Yes, you can make them at home but they're not the same at all.
  • Such a fun summer topic just in time for my birthday today! 🥳🎉 I remember getting the Push Up Pops, and a Cotton candy ice cream bar from my local ice cream truck. As well as chocolate and vanilla swirl cone with rainbow sprinkles! Good times and memories. I still get my favorite cone, even now when the ice cream truck comes. They even have a double cone now.
  • Oh man the chill and nice Super Mario Brothers pop I absolutely loved it when I was a kid me, my bro and dad loved that! ❤

My favorites were the drumstick and the strawberry shortcake bars.
  • Also back in my day in the 90s we ice trucks and this thing called the donut truck. And you could buy all types of things and no disrespect they had the best Mexican candies and candy periods and ice cream lol. You by chili dogs and chili cheese stuff for your chips and pickles not together a course lol. But those was good days lol..

My Ice Cream man was cool about the Bubble Play. If we got a homerun gumball, we'd win a free ice cream of our choice.
  • I loved those Flintstones push-ups, they were so good! Speaking of the Flintstones, while it wasn't ice cream, I do remember getting those Flintstones candy powder straws from the ice cream trucks when I was a kid. I also remember getting those cups of minute maid frozen lemonade from the ice cream trucks. As for character pops, I think I may have gotten ones for Bugs Bunny and the Power Rangers, but I'm not sure. I do remember there being one for Danny Phantom in the 2000s, but I didn't know it existed at the time, so I never got to try it.😢 But I also remember having those strawberry shortcake ice cream bars. Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention the firecracker pop or the creamsicle or the various freeze pops. You know, the one in the plastic packaging. Or even the one that came in the plastic tubes and that you had to split in two. Those were a pain to break apart, but boy were they good!😋
