  • At this point I don’t read viral books when they first become popular, I wait till the second wave of reviews come to know if it’s actually good or not
  • @ryan
    I love booktube 😻
  • @lorelaikate
Next you should have Ryan read three of your favorite books 🤭

Tip: for books like babel, either with many pages or complex, I recommend reading while listening to the audiobook. Makes getting thru it while understanding it that much easier

I would never have picked up Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow because of the hype and the same-ish reviews, but you've changed my mind. Seeing you try it and talk about it more than just surface level really makes me want to read it now. 📚

If you’re looking for more general fiction, you should read Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. It’s a bit confusing for the first bit but the end is soo good
  • Hayley, Steph, and Jack posting all on the same day made my life complete
  • At this moment of time, I can proudly say that I don't trust much of the booktok recommendations but if it is read by Haley I get the motivation to read it...... Can we just appreciate the amount of effort she put to make these videos for us....✨

I really love how slow Babel is. It’s slow but never boring because you’re learning so much about language. I think we just live in a world where people need quick and exciting and that’s not necessarily a good thing all the time in books.
  • That passage that you highlighted from Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow questioning "Why was it acceptable for apparently well-meaning people to see the world in such a general way?" really stood out to me as well. It was definitely a meaningful scene, although I don't know that it contributed much to the overall narrative.

I’d love for you to know I’ve read two books so far this year, which is equal to the number of books I read last year (both last year I had read before though) and YOU GET 100% of the credit for that. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for giving me the encouragement to read books that don’t necessarily have a “point” and as you said “exercise that muscle”. I have really been enjoying reading your recommendations and can’t wait to make my own choices too. I literally put a bunch of titles in a wheel online and when I finish I spin the wheel for my next one.

Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow is the book I’m currently reading and I already love it so so much. I love that you pushed through the beginning and ended up enjoying it ❤

  • You should read the Chronicles of Narnia next! They’re easy read, fast paced (since each book is around 100 pages), and I love them💕💗
  • I've been looking forward to watching this all day. Such a great moment finishing work, grabbing a snack, hooking my laptop up to the tv and finally getting to hit play. Love this video Haley. Started to feel tempted to read tomorrow, tomorrow etc. Also loving hearing about how much you like/don't like books from different genres :) Thank you for another fantastic video!

Honestly Haley is my go to booktuber, since we have similar tastes I always get book recs from her and not one has disappointed me ❤❤❤
  • @fromischa
this video was so well made !! it was so helpful to hear your thoughts on each book especially since you weren’t vague about what you liked and what the books were about. it didn’t feel like any of the scenes you mentioned were “spoilers” and it definitely made me curious to read them myself !!
  • @rubyhamm1751
Ok. I just have to say: I love reading, but I also love watching YouTube. When I found your channel, I fell in love with it. Whenever I watch your reading videos, I rekindle my love for reading! The way that you talk about reading, and just watching you read in general, gives me so much motivation to read! Love you, and thanks so much!!
  • @isabell9703
I have recently been in a reading slump, but seeing your videos gives me so much motivation to read. ❤ Thank you so much Haley ❤️❤️
