AMAZING difference among the brands! BRANDS TESTED: Knipex, Gedore, Stanley, Channellock, Irwin, Doyle, Klein Tools, Husky, GearWrench, S&R, Fujiya, Stanley Fatmax, and Hautmec. Pliers tested for maximum grip on threaded and non-threaded metal, including mild, medium, and very hard steel. The best performers are simply AMAZING compared to the poor performers. So, brand selection does indeed make a huge difference. I purchased all of the products tested to ensure unbiased testing. So, thank you for supporting the channel.

The dedication this man has is incredible. You should do folding knives next!
  • @wikkedspindl
Anybody else root for a brand they know they have when they watch these videos? Even if I seem to own a lot of the cheaper tools he brings up.... Lol!
  • @theOG_OREUS
I've been a fan of Knipex for nearly 15 years. There's a reason everyone copied their design. 8-10 years ago, they were the only pliers that looked like that. (Edit: in the USA, anyway) Great review, as always!
  • @TKommandant
It's nice that Knipex has performed so well, I work for Knipex. I was already clear that they perform best because they are manufactured with much love and should last a long time.We have very high quality standards.

I have owned the Knipex Cobra presented here for about 40 years and have still not been able to break it. All the other Knipex pliers I own - there are many of them - have also never let me down. My oldest Knipex was given to me by my grandfather and it has served well for a good 100 years.
  • as someone who needs to buy a lot of tools for work, these videos come in way handy. thank you!
  • @sanara_on_tour
Knipex Cobra costs about 26 USD here in Germany (21€) And they stay forever 👍😁 I'm using them over 20 years and had never problems with them 🙃
  • Just wanted to say THANK YOU for spending the time to look at the feedback in the comments. I suggested something like 15-20 different things to review and you've done over half of them through the last 6 months. Definitely have helped me spend my money efficiently. Keep doing what you're doing
  • Man I am so glad that I found this channel, very informative and helps me from guessing which products brand is suppose to be better than the other one by actually demonstrating, experimenting and observing. Thank you so much for your content.

It's seriously hard to quantify how valuable your tests are. Unbiased factual real-world applications. Thank you
  • @daltonmann4916
i know i have said this before PF. but, some of your testing rigs are straight up genius! as an old army engineer it warms my cold dead heart to see someone who thinks "outside the box!" SALUTE!
  • Got a pair of Knipex more than a year ago. Outstanding ! work better than any other channel locks I have ever used !
  • @thaostrich
Awesome video! I'm always pleased to see that the tools I carry on my hip all day at work were good choices. You really help make sure us trades workers aren't wasting our money. Greatly appreciated!
  • @getsum697
Own a car repair shop, Knipex are, by far, the best pliers out there. If you want a plier that slips and rounds off bolts, use something else. Great video!
  • @justbuggin67
Off the subject here, can we all truly appreciate the fact that Todd goes through great lengths to respond to as many people as he can. Thank you!
  • @gameface6091
Knipex is a brand I have a lot of respect for. Glad to see that they did well in these tests. Just a silly side note but I and the people I've worked with pronounce them "nip-ex" and leave the "K" silent.
  • @dpro5321
This is pretty cool. I found a set of knipex on track years ago and I kept them. 5 years and they still look and feel NEW. I use them every time I need pliers.
  • @nashriver
Suggestion: Allen or Hex Wrenches, there are some really cheap ones and some really pricey ones, I'd be interested to see the differences. Great video!
  • @chrisg7504
I don't comment often on videos but I want to say I really appreciate your content. I recently found your channel and now always try to guess the winner. I enjoy that you have probably the highest fact per minute rate of all tool reviews. Once I finish watching the videos you have already made I am sure to have a viewer suggestion or two. Thank you.
  • I have used a set of Knipex slip joint pliers for 33 years. There is some slight wear from things I shouldn't have tried with them. They hold up extremely well. No corrosion issues with them either, and they've seen a lot of rain and grey water. If they still make them as well as they did back then, I'd highly recommend them.
