John 3:13 Did Jesus come down from heaven? No. #28 Myths in so-called Christianity.

Jesus was a man born of a woman, and as witnessed by JTB he had the Holy Spirit descend on him, and until he died was a Godman, but only man by nature as the Holy Spirit was in control of his person.

I’m praying for you to come to know the true Christ, so that you can be saved. You are in a dangerous position right now! You cannot depend on yourself, your own righteousness, or for the Law to save you. You cannot depend on water baptism to save you. Water does nothing for your soul. It is only an outward profession of your faith. You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit who testifies about the work of Christ on the cross. You must depend on Christ alone. Christ who is God the Son. Christ who came down from heaven, in the flesh. He lived a perfectly righteous and sinless life. He personally took on the sins of His people and faced the wrath of the Father that they deserved, and clothed them in His perfect righteousness that they did not deserve. The Law only shows you that you will forever fall short of God’s standard of righteousness. No one can keep the whole Law. We must realize the depth of our sin and depend on God for salvation. Salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Jesus constantly referred to himself as the son of MAN. However, the Holy Spirit that came upon him at his baptism was the Christ the anointing, the anointed one. Jesus said the works he did were the works of the Father.

Simon, I would like to remind you of something that God says in James 3:1, "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." John 3:13 is talking about "man", (those who came from the dust or those from "beneath') going UP to Heaven. Let's read it, "And no MAN has gone UP to Heaven EXCEPT HE who WENT DOWN from Heaven, (the Word made flesh, Jesus),: Even the Son of Man, who is in Heaven." Jesus even says in the last part of that verse, "The Son of MAN which is IN HEAVEN" John 3:13 is talking about "mortal" man who came from the dust like ADAM, not being able to go UP TO HEAVEN, as we were born "corrupt" with sin and cannot go into God's Presence until we receive the forgiveness of sins and are Born from "above" or "Born of God" through the SINLESS BLOOD OF JESUS THE CHRIST. Jesus did NOT come from the DUST because he did not have a biological earthly father. Therefore He could not RETURN TO THE DUST. Jesus' "physical" body came from GOD Himself. "Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME." (Hebrews 10:5) Jesus said 4 times in John Chapter 6...... "For I CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me." (John 6;38) "I am the LIVING BREAD WHICH CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and THE BREAD that I will give IS MY FLESH, which I will give for the life of the world." (John 6:51) "This is that BREAD WHICH CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever." (John 6:58) "What and if ye shall see THE SON OF MAN ASCEND UP WHERE HE WAS BEFORE ?" (John 6;62) Jesus proclaimed 4 times in John Chapter 6 above that HE CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, and says clearly that HIS PHYSICAL BODY OR FLESH IS THE BREAD. This supports Hebrews 10:5 above which reveals the Physical Body CAME FROM HEAVEN. "And Jesus said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I AM FROM ABOVE: ye are of this world; I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD." (John 823) JESUS MOST DEFINITELY CAME FROM ABOVE, FROM HEAVEN. John 1:1 & 14 declares that the WORD WAS MADE FLESH. (God was made "flesh") The name "Jesus" is just the Earthly name that was given to the Word made flesh,God "God was MANIFEST IN THE FLESH.." (1st Timothy 3:16). That's JESUS. "who is the IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD" (Colossians 1;15). That's JESUS. "Who is the EXPRESS IMAGE of HIS PERSON" (Hebrews 1:3). That's JESUS.

If you have to be personally perfect and sinless to be saved, and we are all really honest with ourselves, who can be saved? We are all sinners. We have no hope in our own righteousness. “as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one.” …because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. …for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭12‬, ‭20‬, ‭23‬) Do we need the Holy Spirit to go to Heaven? Yes. But the Holy Spirit testifies about Christ. The Holy Spirit leads us to depend on Christ and His perfect righteousness, a righteousness that can only be perfect because He is God Himself.

It was a bit challenging to follow your logic and reasoning. First, I think it would benefit you to look at other translations and commentaries, or, learn the Greek yourself. There are also other YouTube videos that break down the Greek for you for this verse. I don’t think Wikipedia should be your (or anyone’s) primary source of information. It’s not reliable. Second, I don’t know if you were saying that John the Baptist wrote the Book of John, but he didn’t, it was likely the Apostle John. Either way they are both testifying about Christ. Third… “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭2‬, ‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NASB1995) followed by ‬‬ “There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. …And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” ‭ (John‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭8‬, ‭14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬)… John the Baptist was testifying about the Light - Christ and describes the Word - Christ becoming flesh. Human. Christ is God and Christ is human. If Jesus never claimed to be God, why were the Pharisees threatened and wanted to put Him to death? Repeatedly? Ex: “Surely You are not greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets died too; whom do You make Yourself out to be?” Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God’; and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be a liar like you, but I do know Him and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I Am.” Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple.” ‭(John‬ ‭8‬:‭53‬-‭59‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬) …Jesus is I AM, He existed before Abraham. How can that be true if he was only human? More verses for your consideration: “Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question: “What do you think about the Christ, whose son is He?” They *said to Him, “The son of David.” He *said to them, “Then how does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Until I put Your enemies beneath Your feet” ’? If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his son?” No one was able to answer Him a word, nor did anyone dare from that day on to ask Him another question.” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭41‬-‭46‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬) And “And He said to them, “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?” Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭25‬-‭27‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬) Jesus is explaining how everything pointed forward to Him. The promise of the victor in the garden who is bitten by the snake but smashes the serpents head -Christ. The Ark that saves from the destructive flood - Christ. The Ram/sacrifice provided by God when Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac - Christ. The spotless lamb of the Passover - Christ. All of the imagery regarding the sacrifices points to Christ. The psalms (esp ps 2, 110, 22). The prophecy of Daniel. On and on, there is so much that points forward to Christ. Who can face the wrath of God? A mere man? No. Only God Himself. Who can be completely righteous and holy? A mere man? No.
  • No man has gone up exept he who has come down.... even the son of man who is in heaven You cannot go up if you are alreay there! Heaven is Gods throne, the earth is beneath Him, His kingdom is within you.... the door is the heart to it. Put your heart in the hands of Gods, and allow Him to work through it, and let not the mind of man (ego, adversary) turn you away from Him... To be fully in love, is to not let anything else cloud your vision.... First deny (die to) yourself of the flesh, and only live by the Spirit of the Heart, and you shall walk in heaven (sky, on cloud 9) with your head held high on earth, as is was in the beginning....

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS GOD. And the Word was made FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten GOD (Theos), which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." (John 1) "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the FLESH, is not of God; and such is the spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already it is in the world." Can't get any clearer than that: a spirit that denies that Jesus is the Word of God AND God manifested in the FLESH is Antichrist. That's you. Congrats!

I AM THE BREAD OF HEAVEN JESUS NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT! The Bread is His Body! The HS came down as A Dove Not A human as YHVH WORD did JESUS CHRIST! God is 3 Persons! You are in confusion and contradict yourself. The Truth Will Set You Free!

Oh I see now, you hold an adoptionist view. So you think Jesus was just a man. Only at his baptism did he become someone of importance to you. OK then. Well OK Paul believes otherwise. In philippians 2, Paul teaches that Jesus always had the form of God but then took on the form of man. I could refer you to Jesus's argument with the pharisees in John 8: 12-59 where he says clearly that he's not from this world and he came from above. I could refer you to verse 58 where he says, before Abraham was, I am. I'm also wondering. If Jesus is just a man, why would Thomas call him his God? Your argument about Christianity divorcing from its roots pays no attention to the events that surrounded the 2nd century. First, I want to remind you that in 70 AD, the temple of Jerusalem was destroyed. The temple was central to Judaism and without it, well a lot of their practices couldn't be done. So they had to go in a new direction. The pharisees had to step up to the task cause well the sanhendrin largely became extinct. What came out of this was rabbinic Jerusalem. Without other prevailing beliefs, Judaism was less diverse and was instead the interpretations of the pharisees. Back then in Jesus's time, you could be a jew and still believe in the resurrection of the dead. Or be a jew and believed otherwise. It mattered on interpretation. But now, with only one interpretation, Judaism became more rigid and the things that could have connected it to Christianity gradually fractured. Not to mention, Christianity had a large population of gentiles who were not required to be circumcised or keep the Jewish dietary laws, further widening the gap between judaism and Christianity. Even though the biblical canon was formally set in the 4th century. By the middle 3rd century, Christians already largely held on to the books of the NT. The four gospels and Acts were considered canon. So were the epistles of Paul. The formation of its own canon continued to separate Christianity from Judaism. So no Christianity did not divorce from its root. We know our roots. If we didn't we would never have included the OT into the biblical Canon. What we saw was Judaism going its own way and Christianity its own.
