PvZ GW3 Ideas! | Part Six: BFN Plant Variants

Published 2024-04-07
Welcome to the sixth video of this series where I discuss everything about what I'd want for a Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 3! If you like PvZ GW1, PvZ GW2, or PvZ BFN, this is the right video for you! Thanks for watching, and don't forget to subscribe!

If you have any ideas for your own PvZ GW3, please let me know!

Beginning and end music in this video was done by Peter McConnell, but all other music belongs to the Pokémon Company or Hal. On-screen illustrations were done by me, including the thumbnail.

Enjoy!

This might be the most wholesome YouTube channel ever

I think another good night cap would be the cooked cap based off cooked mushrooms where it’s a night cap with slower movement speed and attack speed but dose high damage along with burn
  • I've not seen anyone talk about this. But I think it'd be cool to see a water SnapDragon called SnapSerpent based off of the Sea Serpents which are water dragons, I think this snapdragon would be a burst fire character, shooting 5 water jets per burst, doing 13 damage each, the blue blazes now would be a bubble that traps enemies for 1.5 seconds when hit. The swoop slam would be like the normal one, but makes a shockWAVE (cuz it's a water variant, get it?) And the flame trail will now be a wave that shoots out and brings along any zombie that touches it, like electric slides ball Also I could imagine the wind-up for blazing blast is just him eating a chili pepper-

Great video! I would add some variants for plants: Sap Dragon, a variant that looks like a sap tree, its main weapon is a sap spray, which works exactly like the Moto-X Star, it would slowly cover the enemy in sap until they could not use any more abilities. instead of the guided fireball, a sap shot would be identical to the chomper's goop ability. Instead of the flame blaze ability, it would create a trail of sap that would make enemies unable to use abilities and reduce their movement and camera movement (just like Chomper's super sticky goop). Knight Cap, a knight variant that shoots spores shaped like sword blades, which deal more damage than a shot from a base Nightcap, but with a lower rate of fire. Its movement would be slower, but it would have 110 health points. Vampire Acorn, a vampire variant that regenerates health when shot, its health is lower, having only 65 health points. And there would be the possibility of replacing the sap detonator with a vampire detonator, which, when exploded, causes less damage than a conventional explosion, but would steal life from the target hit. The Oak would be a haunted castle, which would be practically identical to the base Oak, instead, it regenerates life faster and has the vampiric detonator ability, but more powerful. In addition, when Castle Oak shoots an enemy, it steals life for the Acorns that are in the turret. Sorry for my English, I'm not 100% fluent.

I like that he said “Sludge cap” instead of toxic. (It’s because all night caps are toxic)

my only major concern is that I hope there is some way to make sure chomper isn't completely overshadowed by snapdragon.

You know it’s a good day when twilight posts 💜

Ngl...found your Channel in some comments. Saw a Chomper pfp, and subscribed, pretty sure I made the best choice possible in that situation

I've got an idea for a game mode called "Pass the potato" Plants and zombies are on the same team. They can't kill/damage/freeze(you know what I mean) people (still shoot). The potato works like a gnome bomb you pass onto someone before it explodes. There will be a storm similar to soil survivors. Every character will keep there respective speed. Toxic auras are disabled. 2k coins for dying first. 8k coins for dying after the first person. 10k coins for being third. 12.5k coins for second. 15k for 1st place.

7:02 Yeah alot of people say they do not want nightcap to have elemental varients especially an ice nightcap
  • Alright I’m going to sit down review every class Note: like the idea of giving Snapdragon and Slide different abilities depending on their variant, its helps them both stick out from the rest of the cast Cold Snapdragon: obvious pick for a snapdragon class and I also really love the idea for the BB replacement 10/10 Zap dragon: always love a good power variant and callback to Pvz2 EP is cool and creative 10/10 Flap dragon: unique concept but I’m conflicted on the primary pushing back enemies especially with my experience with the pirate upgrade in BFN 7/10 Molten firesnap: definitely not a bad idea for legendary character 9/10 Sludgecap: switching piercing out for splash is really cool idea 10/10 Flightcap: Its nice to have nice counter B. Basher 8/10 Kittycap: Cool idea but the Legendary mode sound really OP I’d probably would remove fire rate increase 9/10 Brightcap: one word….. Awesome 10/10 Burning Acorn: Shot gun acorn + Torchwood’s return? Awesome 9/10 Gilded Acorn: great addition to the lackluster armored variants (excluding iron citron) 10/10 Birch acorn: Zen Cactus is one of my favorite cacti so I really like the idea 8/10 Acorn overload: I always love a good charge character and the oak might be my favorite 10/10 Weed: I’m confused is the slap the only they have. If it is I give a 6/10 because it does seem pretty cheesy how you can stun lock most enemies if it isn’t and he attacks like wild flower I give it 8/10 Hypnoshroom: ok forgive me if I misheard what you said but I think giving him an ice effect is a little too much. I would make it so after they’re hypnotized the can used their abilities for 4 seconds to make the hypnosis more stronger 6/10 Honestly I’m a big fan of most of these concepts. Keep up the good work 👍

Didn't see da video yet. My Cold Snapdragon currently has different abilities from reg Snapdragon. That's cause I think that because the Snapdragon doesn't have a "standard" variant, each variant should have mostly different abilities if they can.
  • Variant idea: dr. Doctor Almanac entry: nobody knows if he's actually a doctor, or just a zombie that lied on their resume. He constantly mumbles under his breath about something he calls "the color viruses" A scientist who's a reference to doctor Mario. His primary has infinite ammo, but there's still use for the reload button. He shoots colorful bouncing pills at the enemy. They come in red, blue, or yellow for either half. You can see which color is coming next, and can press reload to reroll for a random different pill. Depending on the color, the pill will deal more or less damage. For example, a pure yellow pill will deal 50% more damage to yellow enemies. While pure red or blue will deal 50% less. In the case the pill is double colored, let's say blue and yellow, hitting a blue enemy will make the yellow and blue cancel each other out. But if the part of the enemy you hit is green, they'll make the pill deal double. (Hitting roses head counts as red, while her body counts as green for reference) If you have a very special silver upgrade exclusive to him, the color bias will change based on who you seem to be fighting to give you a bit more of an advantage. This character adapts randomly, only those who can be the randomness and dodge like their life depends on it will truly feel the power of abusing bulls--t mechanics that shouldn't matter, but do anyway.
  • I love the flapdragon concept! Would probably main him if he was in the game

There are game files containing a Nightcap triple jump upgrade. Let’s just say Nightcap having 3 jumps would be very, very annoying. At least Flight cap has downsides though 👌 Can’t wait for the next vid
