Seeing the ISB has me hoping Ysanne Isard becomes canon. She's the head of the ISB from Legends, and is so utterly ruthless she had the previous head (her own father) executed to secure her station.

I remember how the ISB director described themselves as some health care worker. I wouldn't be surprised if exterminating the scrapyards village might be something mundane to some of them like rubbing sanitizer over a wound.

Seeing this makes me think that the ISB is more like the Star Wars version of a cross between the Gestapo and NKVD given how both were quite terrifying at the time when they existed.

I'm glad to have this channel accompanying the new Andor series. Having in-depth looks at all of the stuff happening in the show makes it that much better.

I always just assumed that the ISB is just the Star Wars version of Halo's ONI. Everything from fleet intelligence to horrific live human experiments seems right up their alley. They are never seen, but their presence is always felt.

I marathoned the show this weekend and I gotta say, holy shit. This makes up for the Kenobi debacle earlier this year. And with the BBS2 coming in a few months, I seriously can't wait for both it and the eventual second season of Andor.

The origin of the ISB feels similar to the Cardassian Obsidian Order, only not as invasive [yet]; technically, the Order was subordinate to the ‘Civilian Authority’, but in actuality they were the police state with the real power while the Cardassian Central command was comprised of Guls bloating themselves on tribute
