Did you know that there's a brand new train line here in London? It's called the "Elizabeth Line" (aka the Crossrail) and it opened TODAY, 24th May 2022. Come with me to take the first Elizabeth Line train from Heathrow Airport into Central London, stopping at Paddington station and then Tottenham Court Road station in central London.

What a historic moment, the vibes in London were great, with everyone super excited for a brand new line being unveiled and ready to be used to get to Heathrow, central London or for their daily commute around the city.

I'd be excited too if I was one of the first 💜
  • Finally hugely impressed of dedication to the cause to fly all the way to the USA in order to be able to fly back overnight and be one of the first arrivals to be able to make first use of the service. Much more adventurous than those Londoners who got up at the crack of dawn to queue 😊😊😊

As someone that grew up in London in the 70s I have to say that the Elizabeth line is truly mind boggling.

I love the Elizabeth line colour theme. Purple is one of my favourite colours.

*cue 900 people commenting that it's not a tube line YEAH I KNOW GUYS I FILMED THIS AT 530 AM AFTER FLYING IN FROM NYC GIVE ME A BREAK 😂😂😂😂
  • Its really exciting to see it finally open. Its 35 years in the making. I remember my parents getting into a heated dining table debate about the plans when I was a kid!

I can't wait to take the Elizabeth line when I visit London in July. The new platforms look amazing and I love the purple colour scheme. Thanks for another awesome video!

I like the wide corners in the new stations - you can see the peeps you’re going bump into!🙃 Another positive video of the Elizabeth Line. Thanks!

Thank you. You answered questions me and a few of my crew mates discussed this morning finishing our flight into Heathrow. Many of us are crew based in London from the US. Shared your video. Thanks 😊

I'm so impressed that you got this video edited on the first day and had all the facts correct about fare charging and the budget. I live in London and haven't even had the chance to go on the Elizabeth line yet. However on the news today, there was an American from South Carolina who flew in especially to get on the first train this morning!

I travelled on the EL for the first time today and was impressed by the new rolling stock but mostly by the new stations. They are spartan and utilitarian yet also warm and welcoming. I'm very happy that my journey to work from now on will include a stretch on the EL. BTW surely you missed the opportunity to compare the EL with the subway in NY... the EL might have cost £18 billion but they can't have spent much more than eighteen dollars on the NY network. It's like a ride in a Joker theme park. Anyway, nice video.

Thank you Jess for this wonderful insight into the new Elizabeth Line... You are a Star...
  • Amazing video! I just got to ride this train today as well. The stations are so beautiful - it surpassed my expectations

Such an AWESOME video, I'm so looking forward to giving it ride when I got back in the fall! On the other hand with the new competition I'm seeing there are good offers for Heathrow Express! So it looks like a win for everyone! Cheers.
