In this video we go over one of the all time best carp baits. This may very well be the best bait there is carp absolutely love panko pack bait and for good reason. People are constantly feeding ducks and other animals at the lake with bread and carp will come in and eat what they can as well. We combine panko carp bait with sweet corn as well as cream corn and flavor. If you don't have a carp specific liquid flavor you can always use jello or kool aid in your bait. If the carp are on the feed you better have your rod secured or there capable of pulling it right in. This is also one of the best baits I have seen for catfish especially channel catfish if there in the lake they will find it.

Years ago I had wild caught carp in a tank to test feeding stimulants. I would sprinkle in just a little to see if they would start sucking around in the water column. Here’s a list of what they went the most nuts for. Animal feed grade yeast, fenugreek powder, chili powder, milk powders, garlic powder, ground hemp seed, and tuna water. There were a few things they showed no interest in, fresh garlic, boilie flavors, and wheat gluten. So they love garlic powder but don’t like fresh garlic at all.
  • Bread crumbs are ok but they dissipate to quick I like using oats they stay around longer
  • What flavor do you use in this recipe? Tip I've learned from decades of carp fishing, I put my flavor or Jello in the corn and let it soak for at least 30 minutes before I mix it with the dry ingredients.....it seems to make a huge difference in the way the fish respond to it.
  • Great video. My go to bait is Old Fashioned oats with steam rolled oats a can of sweet corn a can of cream corn and whatever flavor I decide to use. I also keep a can of panko or bagged stuffing with me in case my bait is too thin.
  • Nice ( method feeder ) pack bait mix Josh 🎣👍. You can substitute the panko with Baileys #1 horse feed , a 50lb bag ( $ 25 ) will last you longer 😀. My top tip Josh is. If the bait is drying out, don't add lk water to it. Steel a can of Redbull off the lade ( son ) , & add that to the mix 😀. As it also stimulates fish into a feeding frenzy 😋😋😋😋
  • Definitely going to try this but going to add some of my own additives to the mix, I'll be letting you know how it works out!

I also mostly use panko and rolled oats; panko is much cheaper in bulk from Winco, about $1.60 per pound… Oats the same. I generally just mix with creamed and sweetcorn, just occasionally add other flavors. Usually I’ll drizzle a pre-made mixture of corn syrup and flavor onto the ball after I pack it, using a different flavor on each rod until I see that one is working better…
  • Never tried a soy meal-based pack bait, but I've heard good things. My favorite is Panko-Oats: easy to put together, ready immediately, cheap, packs well, and works well.
  • I love the video especially with your family Kee up the good work y'all rock I will definitely try that bait recipe to thanks again
  • I use Panko strawberry jello and canned corn however maybe you can add your opinion on this I have to make mine more tacky I’m fishing the allegheny river in pa and current will take the dry mix away do you agree. I basically just use corn juice with the corn little extra jello mix.
  • Still can’t beat corn meal, flour, sugar and then stir over a hot flame on the stove until very hot. Take off stove and add enough very hot water until desired consistency. Stays on the hook very well.
  • Can't go wrong with panko and corn. My favorite for sure. We tore up some cats like crazy. Cought some nice carp also...

Hi there guys Just finished watching your super bait mix for carp again. I can say as a certainty that your mix works just fine. Here in the Uk the carp love it along with big Roach and even bigger Perch. Just wondering if if was good enough to freeze to keep from going sour. Keep the tips and tricks coming my Fishing association here is recommending the recipe to all. Keep safe and well and and god bless you and your family Paul. Peterborough Uk.

I use panko by itself with a box of jello and a can of cream corn. Is there a benefit to adding the soy meal?
  • This is a very good non-current bait pack—-HOWEVER—you can add a couple boxes of jello for light to moderate current waters…👍👍👍💯💯💯💯
  • @kerrywil1
After the bait is made, can you freeze the amount you are not able to use in a couple of days. Can you make boillies
  • What do you use on the hook before you pack that mixture on? This summer I've been using old fashioned oats with sweet corn and cream corn on a feeder cage with an egg sinker and a hair rig?
  • @ecomm7048
Hey brother, that flavoring you have to promote more. Especially if it's yours! I would love to try it out sometime out here in NC. I do alot of paylake fishing out at pops and alot of other well known lakes but mostly pops as it's only a 35 min drive from me. Love your content and was super excited to see this post today. Also it was awesome seeing the whole family in on making this video and the bait. That was awesome!
  • Great vid great bait love your USA pack baits especially the oats Cheers from the UK.
