What are the treatments for rheumatoid arthritis?

Published 2017-06-08
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a lifelong condition that causes inflammation that can
damage the joints. No treatment can cure RA, but the drugs in this video can slow down the disease and reduce damage to joints. They can relieve pain and make it easier to do everyday tasks. Most people can find an RA drug that works for them. This video can help you work with your doctor or nurse to find a medicine for RA.

I was diagnosed in 1987. Because I found very few YouTube channels from patients with RA, I just started my own! It's called Marty RA.

I really appreciated this video with commentary from doctors and real people like me. Where can I get a friend like the woman who covered her co-worker's desk...she was terrific 🎉.

18 years I'm suffering from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis started at the age of 11, i've had pain level 10 before and it was terrible, I couldn't move my hands and feet and i started tanking steroids and it was like heaven but too many side effects so my dr adviced actemra but the pain is still coming back, I'm starting enbrel tomorrow, wish me luck. I have a pain level of 6-7 now

I take omega-3 fatty fish oil for my rheumatoid arthritis, but I’m also going through chemotherapy. I don’t know if that makes it worse or better but the pain is unbearable. I’ll take my chances.!

I have had juvenile arthritis since the age of 6. Everytime i thought it went away, and i was completely fine, it would always comeback. My doctor prescribed me mtx and everytime i took it, i would always throw up regardless if it was a pill or injection. Now im 12 and i still have not recovered 😩

I'm in severe pain from Head to toe. I burn all over the place & feels like a baby with brand new teeth at the bottom & top bits the living crap out of me! I'm suffering a great deal. Doc call it neuropathy. I'm in bed with tears 24-7. I can't take it anymore. My swelling in my feet, ankles, legs, hand & face won't go away. Is weird cause I'm in so much pain but I'm numb too. I hate my life! I've been sick all my life. I've had liters, kilos & pounds of chemo & radiation. I need this to stop please!
