Driving the 4Runner was smooth as silk on the highway, but was just as smooth off-road which actually surprised me. You have the rugged 4x4 capabilities, while still having the luxury of a Toyota SUV.
This model is the SR5 which comes with a V8. You can pick one of these badboys up for about $40,000. I would say it's money well spent, as gas mileage is about 20 MPGs and you get 400 miles on a full tank.
My favorite part of the 4Runner is how smooth the suspension is. You really don't feel the bumps even when driving over the rough terrain. It even has enough power to climb steep hills.

Welcome to 4-wheeling in NM, my man. And congrats on your new 4Runner. 👍🏼 That trail you were riding isn't even pushing the limits of what your new rig can do. I've been driving (mostly) stock 4x4s in the Jemez, Pecos and around Albuquerque for decades. I've had an '84 Bronco II, an '82 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 diesel, an '87 Jeep Wrangler, and a '90 Bronco. I currently have a '97 Ford Ranger 4x4 and a 2010 4Runner. The 4Runner is my favorite of all the ones I've owned. I'd love to build the Ranger into a hardcore rock crawler, but don't have the money, shop space, or skills to do it. Enjoy your new ride!

Nice video! I got a 2021 Off Road V6 and slapped on some Mickey Thompson Baja Boss and man I love it. If you could, go back to that steep incline and see what the limits are without so much momentum. I think it would be cool to see how much momentum is needed. You made it look way too easy. Haha

These 4Runners only come with a v6. The previous gen had the option for a v8
