Breaking news! Strong earthquake rocks Taiwan!

The tremors occurred at 05:06 pm local time.
The epicenter was located at a depth of 9 km in the sea, 38 km from the city of Yilan.
Several aftershocks were later recorded.
There is no threat of a tsunami.
The earthquake was felt in many parts of the country, including the capital Taipei.
Eyewitnesses are sharing footage of the natural disaster on social media.
Furniture shook in houses, objects fell from shelves.
Some residents left their homes and offices.
There were no reports of injuries or serious damage.
