Today I break down the famous statement made by Lily Tomlin years ago:
"It doesn't matter if you win the rat race if you are still a rat."
The concept behind this statement has huge implications on your mental and spiritual growth. In fact it is valuable pointer towards what life in the illusion or dream world is all about and your role in that. If you look around in the dream EVERYTHING is about winning the rat race and that is the source of sleeping in the dream...

I help people who are caught up in the rat race of competition, stress & anxiety to recreate a relationship with themselves, others and the world in order to experience the inner peace they truly long for.

I have been a spiritual teacher and mentor for over 20 years. I have been a student/teacher of A Course in Miracles for over 30 years. My work is based on waking up to Truth and allowing Peace & Love into your life and heart.

Your video where you explained what ACIM was showed up in my YT recommendations yesterday. I watched it and you did a great job of explaining the course! Of course, I subscribed. Now today "Winning the Rat Race" shows up and I have to see this. Very interesting! Back in the early 80s I was a Scientologist. One night I attended a Scio event where the speaker was talking about Scientologists that would purchase courses but never do them. Why wouldn't they do them? Well, because they were in the rat race. His answer to that was that one could win the rat race but is still a rat. I had no idea that the line came from Lilly Tomlin. But, where it originated from did not matter. That analogy made a huge impression on me. And over the years since I have used it many times to make a point that a rat is not what someone is i.e., the idea of a rat and a rat race are both illusory. Then, you mention that the better question to ask is, "What am I ?" rather than "Who am I?" This is something that I too realized some time ago. Indeed, over the years I have added this comment to many a video where this was an appropriate response: I suspect that there is no one that has not at one time or another, perhaps even for their entire life, asked the existential question, "Who am I?" I know that I sure have asked that question many, many times throughout this life. The reason I have had to ask this question so many times is that I've never been able to receive a definitive answer. Finally, though, I had the realization that I was asking a question that was addressing what seemed to be and aggregation of countless body identities (past lives) that I've identified myself as being over a span of time that is truly unbelievable. The question, "Who am I?" had been getting swallowed up in this sea of identities. In realizing this was the case it was immediately obvious why I could never get a definitive answer. The question I really needed to ask is, "What am I?" Now that question, without too much of a delay, did produce a definitive answer!
