But yeah while this is a silly cover of a deep song, I tried using colors, visual metaphors, stances, jewelry, movie/show shots at the end, and other elements to kinda tell a subtle story based on what my fam and I've been going through during all these breaks in uploads - from losing my stepdad and other family members, to losing our incomes, our home, and our vehicles, to being stuck in the hospital with sickle cell pain crises, etc. The grief that comes from that has really made me connect with this song (and others from Kendrick) despite being in the complete opposite financial situation as the one Kendrick talks about in the song LOL. Instead of just trying to do a full instrumental cover, I decided to make this one silly and fun to watch even for those that aren't really into playing musical instruments. Humor heals and that's the tea
