Great guide thanks! Just me and my 11 year old, so I’m going to attempt to be Dungeon Master. He begged for this for Christmas and today is the first time we’ve actually attempted to try understand it and not just replace the box lid in terror lolol

13:15 The kit comes with four six-sided dice (4d6) so that players can roll their stats (Str, Dex, etc). Roll 4 and drop the lowest for a 3d6 stat.

I tried running this as my first premade campaign and me and my players were all very confused, so this helped alot

But I raked through dozens of videos and could never understand how to play D&D even though I really wanted to. I’m very introverted so I never had the opportunity to play with a group and was relying on reading and watching these videos. A good guide for a person who is just getting started and I think that sometimes it's better to meet with everyone give them a character sheet and a photo copy of the "How to make a character" part so that when everybody is ready they give it to the dungeon master and start playing.

Awesome video, I’ve played once and now I’m in college and trying to get a game going. I’m going to DM and wing it as best I can lol but I’ve been very nervous because it’s a lot to hop into with little experience. This is an awesome instructional video that helped a lot!

Excellent review for new players, and enjoyable as well for vets! Over the years I’ve played D&D from AD&D through 3.5e, with a bit of experience in 5e. I’m currently trying to find a good group to play with, and I actually picked up both the Starter and Essentials sets for if and when I can actually find someone to play with (the sets are very well priced). Thanks again for the great content, and I hope I can find a group soon to enjoy a game that I deeply enjoy so much!💯 P.S. Epic Answer to Epic Question: Player is my preference but I’m ready to guide as DM as needed.
