Joy, 36, has been living with a chronic sensation of seasickness for more than seven months. Her symptoms presented suddenly, after a half-hour ski boat outing. She was diagnosed with Mal de Débarquement Syndrome (MdDS), or Disembarkment Syndrome, a rare disorder that most often develops after an ocean cruise, and sometimes following prolonged air or auto travel. MdDS is characterized by a persistent sensation of motion that is often accompanied by fatigue, imbalance and difficulty concentrating. Neurologist Dr. Yoon-Hee Cha joins The Doctors via video to explain the suspected risk factors for MdDS and how the disorder is treated.

I was a full time sailor for 5 years. When we moved off the boat I do not have any balance when on land, When I drive or swim I feel great, but when I get out of the water or car I am unbalanced. It has been over a year and still have no balance. Any suggestions?

Hubby and I came back from a 7 night cruise. 6 ports of call, by the 5th, I had the rocking on land, no problem. We traveled by train for 5 hours after disembarking, then an hour by car to get home. It didn't really hit me till the next morning with nausea and dizziness, coupled with a sinus cold. I drank plenty of water, knowing part of it was dehydration, but it took 4 days before I was myself again. This past cruise was North Atlantic, last summer's was a Ottawa River and St. Lawrence River 5 night cruise, and it too left me rocking, but no dizziness or nausea.

There are several components to vertigo help . One place I found that successfully combines these is the Dizzy fix formula (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most helpful guide that I have ever heard of. Check out all the incredible info .
