In this video I break down method acting and explain what it is and some common misconceptions about it.

I will also discuss how several prominent acting teachers/coaches from the past few centuries have adapted Method acting into their own teachings.

We will discuss the various acting methods of Constantin Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen, Stella Adler, Larry Moss, Tadashi Suzuki, Warner Loughlin and Sandford Meisner.

Love this video💯 the fact that I read most of these books and you defined each method accurately as possible makes me happy. A lot of beginning actors don’t know what it means to be a “method actor”.

Hello Doug, I must say you are FAB-U-LOUS and FANTASTIC!!! I have to agree with one of your commenters below, I have read most of these books and you have defined each method in a Totally understanding way. I AM MOST HAPPY. I am a beginner/ beginning actor and you have clarified all of this this in one swoop. I have binged watched several of your video today alone. I have subscribed to all your social media that I could find. I'm currently enrolled in an acting class (main focus is on tv, film & commercials) but like you I'm into theatre as well. Do you offer being a PRIVATE COACH? I would have no hesitation in paying you. I believe/ know I would/ could, will/ can learn so much from you that I WOULD JUST CRY if I couldn't.
