SHELLING a remote beach + Who INSPIRED me to create this channel!

Published 2022-11-09
Hi shell collecting friends!

This one is a special one.

I have wanted to make this particular video for some time now. I figured...what better way to highlight one of the BEST shelling days from my recent trip to Turks and Caicos than to acknowledge one of the BIG influences that inspired me to create the Solaceinshelling channel!

I hope you all enjoy watching this one as much as I enjoyed creating it!

I am incredibly honored by your kind words! I’m also so grateful my friend Diane who sent me the link to your video and told me I had to watch it. With your talent in videography, you captured the exact reason why I’ve always loved shelling remote islands like North and Middle Caicos - there’s nothing like being surrounded by so much vast beauty then find the tiniest of treasures to keep forever in your hands and heart. Thank you for a lovely trip down memory lane and for touching me so deeply with your kindness. I love your channel and wish you the best of luck continuing. I know how hard you work on these videos- they are fabshellous ; ! Thank you again - I’ll be following
  • Your channel has made me fall in love with shelling and now I can't get enough.

As soon as you mentioned Pam I knew right there and then why I love your content and you. She is so amazing to the shelling world and your knowledge that you share with us is outstanding. Thank you for all that you do to bring shelling joy, especially to me, stuck here in a very grey UK 🇬🇧

Hello shelling friend! Just wanted to let you know I appreciate the trips you take us on. One of your best so far I think!
  • I love shelling was the first shelling channel that got my attention too. I wish she gets back to shelling really soon and share her adventures with us. Btw you found some really beautiful shells today. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
  • Thank you for the references to Pam Rambo's "I Love Shelling" channel. It was my first experience with virtual shelling as well. Watching from mid-America (OK), I would dream about experiences like hers. Each time I visited my sister in FL and went shelling, specifically on Honeymoon Island, I hoped to find a treasure like she did. Well, in 2018 I retired to New Port Richey FL and get to live my dream! I too want to thank Pam for her efforts, inspiration, and information.
  • I too loved I Love Shelling! I was fortunate to meet Pam on one of her shelling trips. What fun!! I have such fond memories of trips to Sanibel and collecting massive hauls of shells there. I also made many wonderful trips to TC..to Pine Cay, North and Middle Caicos, Parrot Cay and Provo...years ago now. Would love to go back, but until then ...thank you for the awesome videos!!
  • Pam Rambo was also an inspiration to me. I took many shelling boat trips with her and learned so much. She is an amazing person who makes everyone feel special. Great shells and scenery! Thanks for the video.
  • I, too, had the opportunity to be inspired by Pam Rambo which helped my very first visit to Sanibel years ago and made my first trip to Cayo Costa on a boat trip with her. It is obvious how much time and effort goes into your videos with all the different views of you walking, the beaches you visit, the shots of the shells, and the other content you provide. Since we were divers, I only knew of Turks and Caicos as a dive destination. It was great seeing it from a different perspective. I found it very helpful that you added, in the transcript, the names of the shells you found so one can look up the shell to get a better understanding of it. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your videos, look forward to seeing them and have watched them all!
