I’ve been swim instructor for eight years the best thing you can do is just give her to the swim instructor and walk away it will take time but eventually once she gets comfortable she won’t cry all the time and then it’ll end up being fun it just takes time The longer you wait the harder it is to teach them as they get older especially if they already have a fear of water this year

As a swim instructor the best thing you could do for her is put her in lessons now. She may not like it at first and it may be beneficial if you leave her with the instructor. Eventually she will get comfortable and start to have fun. It’s easier to overcome the fear now rather than when she’s 3-4 years old. I hope they go well!! 🤞🏻

Aspyn asking Cove was sounds does animals make was so cute and she’s so smart. Also I can’t believe how much she talks now and that she still signs for “more”. Plus how there be will baby #2 soon. I can’t wait to see cove with her because it’s gonna be so cute

Don’t know if this will help, but I was a swim instructor for years (for 0-5 year olds and special needs) and the kids that were nervous ALWAYS calmed down once they were in the water and the parents were out of sight.

I second what everyone is saying about her being ok when the parents are out of sight! Go run for coffee or even just sit barely out of sight behind a wall and you'll notice 5 min after that she'll be happy
