Sorry for the feedback in the audio. This is a cheap lapel mic and I'm still learning how to use it. Turning the volume up seems to bring more qualities to the recording.
Tune inspired by Charukesi raga, also known as Aeolian Dominant. This song was complete on new years day. Starts at 1:48 . I haven't had a lyre to play until this one was finished. Thanks for watching.
top, back and sides: reclaimed redwood
peghead: blue oak
tuning pegs: persimmon
Bridge: Maple
Tailpiece: apricot
Cord: deer sinew
Rosette: mulberry
Hide glue
Prepared shellac flakes
Stainless steel microntuners
Horsehair
Cotton thread
-nothing else at all
For the sake of preserving sound quality, I build without the use of oils, stains or pigments of any kind.

Horsehair, the only true way to string a tagelharpa! Amazing hypnotic sound.

Such an interesting way of touching the strings. Beautiful instrument, too!

That's an attractive lyre you've built, and it sounds well too. Thanks -

You play indian classical on it, this is amazing

I have concluded that the average Iphone has a better mic than the common lapel mic.
