Before the 2024 RNC, J.D. Vance also gained popularity back in 2017 because of something UW-Madison calls the "Go Big Read" reading program.

  • I read Hillbillyology as soon as our little rural Oklahoman library put it on the shelf to be checked out. It was a book club read for that library. I didn't realize that JD Vance was one and the same one to be Trump's running mate. 😃

    JD's story is very common to poor whites in America. I'm living the same story within my own family. Perhaps his story will inspire some of my relatives.

    You don’t have to agree with the writer’s political views. But college should be the place to be exposed to a differing of opinions. Because that is real life, people have different perspectives.
