Andy Stumpf served with both SEAL Team Five and Naval Special Warfare Development Group before being wounded in combat. Andy recovered and was assigned to the Naval Special Warfare Center as a BUD/S Dive Phase instructor.
Two years later, Andy became the first E-6 in the history of Naval Special Warfare to be commissioned through the Limited Duty Officer program. He then deployed with SEAL Team Three to Afghanistan.
Since leaving the military, Andy has gone on to raise millions for the SEAL community and set two world wingsuit records.

Lots of respect for Andy's position to not just write another "SEAL memoir" if he feels like it doesn't add anything to the info already out there. To me, that speaks of integrity and keeping your ego in check.

Jack’s Terminator reference was golden. I had just watched Terminator again the night before seeing this episode and had the “phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range” line stuck in my head.

If Andy would write a book about some of the stories of his experiences, it would be hilarious. If you’ve never heard him talk about how he became the Javelin king, you’re missing out. His story about a tandem jump with a terp in Afghanistan is one of the funniest stories I’ve ever heard. His sense of humor reminds me of myself and I relate to having the mentality of a 12 year old kid in the body of an old man. Love listening to all of these guys.

I think Andy should start a "Story time with Andy", at least once a week, much like the Tucson PD story. He has to have thousands, and the way he tells a story, it would be hilarious.
