Once before my game the Zamboni broke down on the ice and by the time they’d got it back up and running it had frozen to the ice. The games was delayed for about 2 hours.

The delay in Florida due to the EMT's is the most understandable game delay ever. Pretty sure no one was really complaining, considering.

As a hockey referee, you hear some pretty good stories. One day, I was reffing a few games for a tournament, and between two of the games, the other ref and I heard a loud crash coming from the ice pad from inside our dressing room. The Zamboni driver had crashed into the boards! It took over an hour for them to be repaired. One ref told me once that at some really old arena, the was a huge chunk of the ice missing, like the last clip, but right in the middle of the ice. Instead of repairing it, they filled the hole with sand ans stuck a PYLON in it!
