That smokestack incident was very cool. The fireman that climbed up those ladders at a very high height got a standing ovation and everyone basically ignored the game while he was up there

That dude in the scooter is a entire vibe in itself

Craziest one I saw was in college baseball, a possum delayed an LSU game (actually rallied back to win the game and birthed the rally possum, ended up as CWS finalists that year)

I was at a game Mets game in 2008. Citi Field is just about structurally done... I get out of class (actually got permission from a professor to cut out early), race out to Shea to meet up with my grandpa who was meeting me at our seats. Plop down in my seat and they announce the game is delayed... Turns out the heavy construction equipment had punched a hole in Shea’s water main. There was zero water above the loge and almost no pressure on the field level. Ended up delaying the game about half an hour because the grounds crew couldn’t finish preparing the diamond. And to add insult to injury... It was a “Bad Ollie Day”

Back in 2001 there was an explosion in the light bank at now torn down San Diego Stadium causing the Padres game to be suspended. That qualifies as a strangest delay/suspension.

That poor grounds keeper probably had to go to the hospital for picking up that cat. Cat bites are no joke they cause insane infections.

That power outage in the 2015 World Series is probably why the Mets lost.
