  • Enjoy your precious beach you claim to own! It's in your house! Thanks Ian!

It’s an island over developed that’s the biggest issue with Sanibel, Ft Myers Beach and Pine Island. They are over developed all of them.

So many stories of courage. We on Pine Island feel the same. It’s called intestinal fortitude! You don’t leave what you love.

This lady is blessed in many many ways. I hope she rises from ash.

i moved to Galveston Island Texas 35 years ago. I get what this Ladie is saying. We have people who were born on this Island that think if they leave this Island that bad things will happen to them. Some might call her a fool ,but some might see is as a way to prove she really does love her home.
  • Yay Bridget! Love you getting this interview! It’s been a pleasure watching your posts!

You go girl. We do not own land we are temporary leasers. Throughout the history of humanity the land has evicted us many many times. There is nothing humans can do that will be able to stop a hurricane from happening. Live safe or life dangerously; you decide.

I'd like to talk w this lady. I'm just coming out of 2 years recovery from my home flood in Madiera Beach. Took me 2 years to get back in a home and recover from the flood. It's a huge mental toll to process.

Positive attitude like nearly every person affected by Ian that I’ve seen.

I would hate to live like this. It'll be years lady before you'll be comfortable again.
  • so she cooked for the pretty people who would lounge around in the sun all day and come to her restaurant to eat and leave the dirty dishes for her to clean? Is this heaven? Where are all the children playing on these beautiful beaches? cooped up in day care with strangers?

Malachi 1:1-4 King James Version 1 The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi. 2 I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, 3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. 4 Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the Lord hath indignation for ever.
  • How did this woman amass this amount of dough to live there so long? Could educate some of the homeless people now how she managed to live like the rich and famous pretty people.
