  • David Tennant cannot stop making copies of himself that go to live peaceful lives with their companions.
  • "Do you come in a range of colors?" "Yes...Except for Ginger, apparently."

Looking forward to 20 years later when David Tennant is in his 70s to return again as The Doctor.

I was a little weirded out by the bigeneration at first but when I started to really think about it it starts to make more and more sense with the Toymaker residing outside of logic he could have most definitely been the cause of the Doctor multiplying. It's honestly incredible. And of course having Tennant come back is just chef's kiss.

Can't believe that there are three simultaneous David tennants active in the Dr who universe

I love the little detail of his "last words". Last time he said "I don't want to go" but this time he said "Let's go". He was ready this time. He wasn't alone.
  • Think I worked out how the Doctor bi-generated. According to the novel, the 14th Doctor was only 15 hours old when he got shot, which means he was still regenerating at the time, as Time Lords take 36 hours to complete their regenerations, hence why they tend to suffer from regeneration sickness afterwards (which the Doctor has experienced multiple times before). Now, it was proven that a Time Lord can heal themselves during that time (i.e. the Tenth Doctor growing back his hand) so, when the Toymaker shot the Doctor, the intensity from the galvanic beam triggered the Doctor's body into regenerating again instinctively while his body was also instinctively healing itself due to still being in the first regeneration's 36hr cycle, which caused the 15th Doctor to regenerate inside the 14th's body and the 14th's body to heal itself around the 15th. The Doctor most likely didn't even realise all this was happening to him while he was regenerating so was surprised to see he spilt into two incarnations.

Has there ever been a better regeneration scene in Doctor Who? What a brilliant idea to usher in the new Doctor before the end of the episode.
  • @ThePatxiao
Man Tennant really took Michael Sheen’s statement of him not being the doctor SUPER seriously
  • Gotta love how Tennant nicked a line from his father-in-law: “It feels different this time”.
  • Ncuti took half of David's clothes. David's no longer wearing shoes, and Ncuti isn't wearing pants.
  • @EpicSince2o1o
David Tennant will forever be the best doctor. We need more!
  • @Waterflame
I love how 14 got the undershirt, vest, and trousers, while 15 got the over shirt, tie, underwear, socks, and shoes. It was the perfect separation.
  • @Cameron-tc3hs
The look on the toymakers face when he realised he doubled his problem.
  • @tylerwade6539
"Every single one of you is fantastic." Mels is right, every doctor, is special and incredible in their own way. God I love this show.
  • @keeranjani
I always wondered if I rewatched the old tennant specials so much simply out of nostalgia or because they were just brilliant. I got my answer with this special - I’m going to be rewatching this for years to come! RTD is a genius!
  • I love the homage to Peter Davison with him saying ' It feels different this time'
  • @valmid5069
“I might never make sense again! I might have two heads! Or no head! Imagine me with no head - and don't say that's an improvement” —The 9th Doctor
  • @tis_i_viy
Ohhh so thats why its much more preffered if he regenerated inside the TARDIS
  • @benjammin5328
1:58 Anyone else hear the TARDIS sound there? Like his regeneration is splitting time for 14 to heal while also keeping a Doctor out in the universe
