Just noticed this, but before joan broke the quamputer the episode had a lively music and feel to it, like a disney show. But when joan broke it, it felt so raw like any other black mirror episode.

This was terrifying, hilarious, ridiculous, tense, dark at times... this was so Black mirror. Gosh how i missed feeling excited about new episodes of this show. note to myself: "Read the Damn Terms and Conditions.

some people dislike the joan is awful episode, i actually enjoyed it. like really enjoyed it, cause the concept of the episode is really hard to explain out loud lmao. it’s really an episode that no one could understand if you simply tried to explain it to them, they’d have to watch it. genuinely liked it

It would be interesting to see what "Source Joan" actually did that was so "awful", since every layer of fiction added awfulness for dramatic purpose.

I got chills at the mere memory of White Bear. My God what an episode that was! I think this one was far from that, the comedic tone didn't help us feel intimidated enough by it. It isn't one of my favourites, but nevertheless it is another very interesting idea by the Black Mirror creators so I give them that. 👍

I enjoyed the Joan is Awful episode. Kept my attention throughout as it slowly revealed what was going on. I like the somewhat optimistic ending.

just finished the episode and just like any other black mirror ep, didn't see the twist coming. Although I did feel that a few concepts were sloppy and were thrown together to seemingly make sense which led to it being absurd but that's what blackmirror is all about! Loved it eitherway

one thing that no-one has touched on but i really love the ending and the message it shows. it shows the importance of self-improvement and how taking care of yourself is the best thing to do, rather than focussing on the negative traits of yourself. it's similar to joan's life, starting from a monotonous and almost an ennui lifestyle into doing what she WANTS, so she feels like she's in control of her own life rather than someone else controlling her life, if that makes sense

One tiny little plot hole. If she says basically what the real joan would say, she would not say that the original joan had already made the decision. Because the original joan would have no reason to say that as there is no one above her.

The Loch Henry show was not an episode of Black Mirror, but the in universe documentary made about the tragedy which occurred throughout the episode

I actually found the entire season (I binged it) phenomenal. I enjoyed all of the episodes and can’t say the same for the other seasons of Black Mirror, especially the last.

The Grains going out of style is a nod at Black Mirror being so far advanced in the world that it is now going out of style as Apple just recently introduced the Vision Pro in the real world which is something similar to what the Grains technology was where it blended virtual reality and the real world together through a lens.

Out of all the 5 episodes I’d put this one towards the bottom. It was good but just didn’t quite hit the same as the other ones imo
