  • This song makes me feel like I’m rich on a yacht drifting on the bay of a Italian riviera sipping champagne
  • Simply one of the most beautiful songs ever written, and an aural and visual feast watching such expert musicians play this.
  • I don't know how many times I've listened to it, I love the sublime touch that it gives at every turn.
  • This is the best recording ever made of one of Mancini's finest charts. And the video is stunning. I cannot say enough about this incredible presentation.

Undoubtedly the best cover of Mancini's absolute masterpiece. Thank you Dan Fontaine and your fabulous musicians

Really. Does it get any better than this? Sophisticated and simply stunning to listen to, and look at. Takes me to another time and place. Such a beautiful interpretation of this masterpiece.
  • This IS AN ORCHESTRA!!! Playing the VERY BEST of Mr. Mancini! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

This is the song "Slow hot wind" from the movie "Hatari" with John Wayne. The master Henry Mancini created this. I first heard this song when I was a kid growing up in the 60's. My Mom surely had good taste in music. I must say Dan Fontaine & his orchestra have elevated this classic to another level. The strings represented the wind & the xylophone the mystery of Africa while on safari. The musicians here performing their art have truly captivated their talent & artistry to their craft I commend all of them. Sarah Vaughan & Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66 sang an excellent version of the vocals. My heart is soaring now..........

I get an image of a verandah or balcony looking out at a tropical scene at night, palm trees gently swaying in a cool breeze, light of a full moon catching the ocean, sound of the surf washing over the beach and rocks. Sitting with your lady, sipping Pina caladas. There was a scene just like that on Stingray when I was a kid, with Troy Tempest wooing the commanders daughter, with similar music

I believe this is the most beautiful song I ever heard or that anyone has ever heard. The genius of Henry Mancini.
  • @KristianGrig
Y'all KILLED this beat LOL! On a serious note that background synth/pad you've incorporated in the original composition adds this new/contemporary sound reprise and it is brilliant! Couldn't be more happy with the visuals and your orchestra!

I LOVE LUJON -- it takes me far away, like I'm alone with my dog, on the beach, watching all the waves come in at 3:10 which I've done so often -- I miss the ocean, I'm in the beautiful mountains now and it will snow soon and I love the quiet of the snow, two totally different elements of nature, both soothing!

I absolutely love this piece from Henry...it takes me away to some gorgeous exotic island and floating away in the oceans lovely waves..it is so beautiful and takes me away from all of life's hectic moments....Just like you could drink it up..so fantastic.

Simply a beautiful way to start my day with my morning coffee, my little boy cocker spaniel at my feet and sunshine thru the window pane, this piece and others like it have taken over any news watching for many years and life is so much more calm.
